>I'm worried that the T200S is too big
It might be but it might be worth finding a YouTube video where the reviewer measures with calipers, casio measures their watches differently than the rest of the industry and it makes them sound larger than they are.
Anyway either that or the citizen are both solid choices. The citizen is a great looking watch and i think its the best automatic on the market below $550 or so.

Citizen's movement is better than Seiko's 6R15?

>> No.17334892

>>17334880
The citizen is thinner, has a higher beat rate, has a tigher accuracy rating from the manufacturer. The only flaw is that the rotor only winds in one direction so it will spin freely the other way, this can occasionally be heard spinning in the watch if it gets some momentum in the non winding direction. Having it only wind in once direction helped them to make a thin movement while keeping costs down.
The original 6r movements had some durability issues that i believe were resoved with the 6r15d revision.

Jomashop is totally legit BUT only buy watches that say in stock ready to ship. Sometimes there are issues where jomashop sells expensive watches they don't have and then don't want to take a loss on so they delay shipping for months while they try to buy the watch you paid for a t a good prices. But this really only seems to happen with watches that costs thousands and tens of thousands so i wouldn't worry about it unless you are looking at rolexes or something.

You get jomashop's warranty; which is going to be hit or miss and is solely at their discretion. I wouldn't count on it.
But realistically if you're going to buy a longines for 800 it's not like your warranty is really worth much anyway; the cost for maintenance if you need it is going to be less than or equal to the discount you get just for going gray market

You’re delusional. How are you going to compete with independents like Greubel Forsey, Gronefeld, Laurent Ferrier, Dufour, and Journe? These people worked for decades with the best watchmakers in the world before making their own brands. If you’re doing very few watches that means you need to charge very high prices just to cover your costs which puts you in direct competition with these guys. I’m not telling you not to do it but you need to cut your teeth with the big boys like AP or Patek first.

So it happened, for the first time I a watch that I bought doesn't give me the ick. It was a good deal, looks exactly like in the pictures. The bracelet elements bother me in the way that I can adjust it to be loose or just a little too tight, but with a strap it's okay. I wouldn't say that it's buyer's remorse because I don't feel like overspending, but somehow it doesn't feel like "my" watch, a feeling that I get with my other ones even after along time. Is it just too early?

Bachelor's degrees are not "qualifications" that the military wants per se. That's just a requirement to enroll as an Officer into OCS school after you go through the recruitment process. There's the Limited Duty Officer program but that's when you need your quals (qualifications) packaged in a nice package that demonstrates what you've achieved during your time as an Enlisted military member. It has been a really good, solid watch. It's at +5 seconds/day which is amazing. The movement is a step up from the one used in the Seiko 5 series. Despite it's elegant dauphine hands and no numbers dial, it's a proper professional spec tool watch (hence being part of the Prospex series). 200m water resist, okay anti-magnetic (60 gauss), date, sapphire crystal, 70hr reserve, etc. The bracelet is really nice, feels thick and solid, proper tool watch bracelet.

What I love about this particular design is that despite being touted as a Rolex explorer alternative, it doesn't try to be a Rolex explorer, it's 100% original seiko laurel alpinist heritage. I still think the old model is the better watch, just it's case shape, better quality bracelet and overall better finishing, which I had head before.

Newer model wears a lot better, new movement (old movement known to run very well however). If you're looking a hesalite speedy get the older model, if you're looking a sapphire get the newer one.

My recommendation get a used older model hesalite for a good price and wear the shit out of it.

This is getting far less popular now that the fad is dying. Don’t see it posted much now. I had two or three back in the 90s decades before the popularity wave a few years back. For not much money sure you get a watch massively more accurate than a Rolex. But you also get the hideous feeling strap that breaks within a couple of years, the shitty feeling tiny metallic buttons, the easily scratched face and all the other cheapness that comes with it. It’s practical but at the end of the day watches are jewellery now. Decades on I’ll stick with the Rolex I’ve been wearing for 12 years now. I like it a lot, and despite the jewellery comment it’s sturdy and reliable.

i saw a video of non-watch people reacting to watches and all of them were absolute into the junghans, men and women. I hate to be *that* guy, but it probably explains why daniel wellington and mvmt and so popular with newbies and non-watch people (women). junghans watches were actually what initially got me interested in watches and despite liking Nomos, I don't actually have any plans to buy one...
