Boot General - C*nada Edition

What do I need to care for my boots?
>Old cotton t shirt (one for cleaning, another for applying conditioners)
>Horsehair brush ($10-15)
>Wooden shoe trees ($10-15)
>Light conditioner like Lexol/Bck4
>Heavy conditioner (if you live in terrible snow/rain areas) Sno seal/Obernauf LP

How do I deal with x stain?
>mud: allow it to dry then brush off
>salt: water and cloth as soon as possible
>saturated wet: allow the boot to dry for a full day, stuff with newspaper
>scuffs and scratches: buff vigorously with horsehair brush

>Should I buy turdsdays/soloshits/doc shitans?
no
>b-b-but muh ecelebs on youtube said they're good
no. you will waste your time and money and still have uncomfortable footwear at the end of the day. spend the extra $100 and get something real.

The “traditional” Wildland firefighting boots are pretty much here to stay. They’re meant to be tough and offer protection from fire (hence NFPA rating) not be high speed trail running shoes/boots. Also Gore Tex and other synthetics tend to melt so the best NFPA rated boots are full leather. Not sure where the argument over the thick sole and tranny heel started but it’s to get your foot far off the hot ground (and be more suited for inclines). Reposting from old thread. I'm looking for two pairs of new boots.

First pair is standard everyday boot, brown or black, full leather, smooth, suede, tumbled, anything that goes, bonus for Vibram sole.
Nothing special, just your everyday lace up boot for jeans and such.

Second may sound retarded but can I wear somewhat more classy boots with a suit? Maybe black smooth calf leather?
If this isn't a total no go I need a suitable boot for mid/dark grey/blue suits, an allrounder for cold day/region business trips.

Budget doesn't matter but problem is EU/Germany as location so preferred nothing I have to import myself and can't return in case I have to.
Only manufacturer I know that seems a decent option is Velasca, anyone got experience with them?
I'd like to buy local brands like Lowa but they have moved away from leather lining and only over ogretex plastic bags now...
Any tips really appreciated. I don't want to buy garbage chinkshit with dogleather from Nike or whatever.

Shoepassion Berlin doesn't seem like an option, they are out of stock on almost everything.

They are cemented on and not stitched which isn't ideal, they could come apart at anytime.
It's Goretex which isn't breathable at all, so your foot would not get wet from the outside but the sweat would not have anywhere to go, and the outside of the boot will still get soaked.
I'd buy something like a Thorogood American Heritage moc toe, or Jim Greens razorback for a little cheaper than both the Meindl or the Thorogood.

Sorry, just a couple more comments to prove I'm not being completely facetious

- Don't get a pull tab, they're literally pointless unless you're getting an 8"+ boot
- Get a soft toe; they're so much more comfortable.
- They're expensive boots, get the most versatile colour. So don't opt for blue CXL with gold hardware or some shit.

If any anon's want a more thorough guide for buying PNW boots I can do one.

That’s a strange thing to say, as they’re comfortable, sturdy yet lightweight, a clean design in leather that goes well with jeans or khakis, have a GoreTex liner so they’re waterproof yet breathable and were reasonable priced (around $60?) when I bought two pairs a decade or so back. In short; perfect everyday shoes.
