It's not about being a wristlet, retard. Elongated lugs fuck up the proportions.
The Breguet Marine is 39mm in diameter and 50mm lug to lug. That's fucking stupid because it will look too large on average wrists (because of the long lugs) and too small on large wrists (because of the "small" case).

These dimensions are even more hilarious when you compare them with watches with a 38-40mm case.
Tudor BB58
>39mm case
>47mm lug to lug
Omega Aqua Terra
>38mm case
>45mm lug to lug
Rolex GMT Master II
>40mm case
>48mm lug to lug
Even the new Breitling Navitimer is 48mm lug to lug in its 43mm iteration.

Also don't get me started on roman numerals on a sports watch.
What a fucking stupid watch. Unironically kill yourself for liking it.

Had a look at some mall watches today. Davosa copies the Rolex design pretty good if you're interested in that. Otherwise it seems to me that they all use the same standard parts and the only real difference is the name on the dial. Japanese watches and Swatch group stand out a little bit, but not by much. In general they have a plasticy lacquered look to them, even though the material is supposed to be stainless steel. The more expensive models are not visible in the store front, so do actual luxury watches have a better look to them?

yes, I meant actual lighting conditions. I have a Seiko 5 from 2012 with a jubilee bracelet, which looks like actual metal. I got it at like 35% off MSRP, and for that price, I like it very much.
While the bezel is polished, the external side of the case is brushed, so I haven't seen scratches. I dont baby it, but I just work at IT, so no heavy duty anything.
About the movement, it used to run slightly slow at -8spd average, now I measured it, and it goes from -5 to +3, so, not bad. Mind you, I used a phone app, not a real timegrapher.
It uses one of the powermatic movements (well, only Tissot calls it that, but the name stuck), but this uses standard escapement.
Overall I like it, and one of the better watches from Mido's regular lineup. I find the regular Multiforts too bulky. The baroncellis too boring, and the bellunas too 'office-sque'. Though, sometimes you might get a feeling of a dish plate, due to the thin bezel and the boxed crystal.

Good luck man, what made you decide on it? Honestly I would rather donate blood for extra money for the gray than to deal with the ADs in the NYC area. Can’t say what your model is selling at gray, but I would still give a looksee using watcheagle, or giving le Reddit a try and maybe doing a trade if you don’t have a watch you don’t want. Nothing against people who try with ADs, but my Jimmie’s are maximally rustled at the process required. I don’t look like sucking up, spending without guarantees, and being kept in the dark.

Sorry if it's not the style you want. Watches with these functions tend to be mor eon the utilitarian side. Still, there are nicely finished models.

G-shock GMW-B5000D (or a modded square G for cheaper)
G-shock MTG series. (I think anyone can pull off the simplest color schemes.)

Citizen Nighthawk or Skyhawk, but I don't see them working Ith a fancy outfit.

Really not a lot of nice watches with an alarm and count down timer.
Unless you cannot use your phone for some reason, I'd use it for those functions (much more ergonomic anyway) and it would let a lot more choices.

As far as watches, Tooters are alright. You get weird case materials because I imagine Rolex limits the more exotic dial options and bracelets designs go. I bought this because it was the only bronze case watch on the market at the time, and I can larp as a pirate in with the leather strap. They are all bad and amateurish. Just look at all the youtube channels names after watch puns and you can see the vibe they give. I mean if you are going for a "just for fun" name and don't want to be taken seriously I say go for it. Personally it just makes my eyes roll every time I see something named after a watch pun and I have no interest in the content.

I've become obsessed with vintage casios too. It only has a date complication and the watch itself wasn't $30, that would be the donor watch which is an mw59, the md736 was around $10 but I bought an entire lot of junk casios on yahoo japan, some worked perfectly, some need tlc. This one worked fine up until I wore it to a club and I guessed I knocked it around a bit too much so the date gave out. I also have a blue mtd 1010 that needs some fixing and a few other interesting retros. I've really gone down the rabbit hole of vintage casio divers, I now have a grail which is a MD703, pic related, over 1k for a mint one.

You remind me of those retards that think their chrono is broken because they don't know how a chrono is supposed to work. Anyway I think you're also retarded, just get a normal watch instead of a chrono at that point, I doubt you're gonna be using the feature much if at all if all you plan to do is let it run continuously

I actually time shit daily with my chrono, cooking food, making tea, how long to bill a client, etc. I really don't get the point of getting a chrono if you're not gonna use it, I can understand a static feature like a diver's watwr resistance, but a chrono? I just don't get it.

>Do these hold value or go up what can i expect to lose when i want to trade it in for a new one eventually
It seems like they take a big depreciation hit when purchased new. So you buy a new one for msrp you won't be able to sell it for msrp or close to msrp. However if you buy used they have already taken that hit, you pay much less than msrp for a used one. When you go to sell one that you purchased used in 10 years or whatever you can probably get most of what you paid for it out of it. Very few watches actually appreciate in value. If you want to research it some you can look at recent sold listings on ebay for the same models and compare that to the price of the used models you are looking at buying.

Those people wouldn't buy it even if it wouldn't say Seiko on the dial, because it's japanese and not swiss.
