Just received these from Carmina

The suede is amazing, though I have to say I have never seen proper suede up close before.
It's a bit darker brown and less orange in real life than the photo.

These are with CF Stead suede, a 360 storm welt, a split commando sole (with leather in the waist), antique brass (non-shiny) eyelets and speed hooks.
Size 9.5 UK on the Forest last.

I was worried about the last because I have wide feet (and there is a Forest EEE last) but I tried them on and they are comfy.

The finishing is not totally perfect but the things I spotted cannot be seen normally (a tiny discoloration on the storm welt etc).

Cost me 410€ including shoe trees (which cost 85€ on their own). And it took 2 months to make.
They have a weird acetone smell to them. I think I read Carmina treats their suede to make it waterproof.

On Allen Edmonds AE 65 I am US 10 but EEE width
On Carmina Rain I tried 9.5 UK but they are too narrow for me. Length wise they are roomy so I cannot go UK 10. The heel was too big for me too, basically the wrong last for me. Does not fit.
On TLB Mallorca, I was advised by the owner to order 9.5 UK on maximum width (H-width). Extremely comfy.
On Enzo Bonafe, I tried 363mod on 9.5 UK and they were a bit too short. The 363mod is the widest last, but also a little short and a lot of people go half a size bigger. So I think 10 UK would be right for me.

These Forest boots seem to be a good fit but the toe ball area is a little snug. Because it's suede it feels comfy, if it was boxcalf I would probably have to go Forest EEE. Length wise they are good.

Andrew here at Parkhurst and I hope you’re doing well. As many of you may already know this year has been full of twists and turns. I am excited to finally say you will now begin to see a new type of boot from Parkhurst after months of work and development.

As we enter the Fall season ahead, Parkhurst will be back with new styles and new leathers – a few of which will be dropping tomorrow, Wednesday 9/13 at 11:00AM EST. These two styles will be the first ever moc toe and Chelsea boots for the company, each in two leathers. Both will be ready to order/ship starting tomorrow at that time. This will be the first introduction. The second will be our first ever women's line of Chelsea boots around the end of this month, possibly the beginning of October. The third introduction will be the staggered release of new Allen and Richmond boots beginning in late October/early November if production timing plays out as anticipated.

yes but a chelsea has 2 fabric panels and no one cares so why not. youd get a clean silhouette on the outside and you could make the laces long enough to wrap around the top for style. the tounge would be fully guested so the only real issue is the stiching but there are ways to waterproof that

I do private security. My company allows us to choose what we wear within a certain set of standards. One of those is that our boots have to be "patrol" style black non-slip water resistant duty boots. They're all so fucking ugly. I bought a pair of Under Armor Stellar g2's purely because they were on sale for $60. I want to replace them ASAP because, well I mean just look at them. I'm fine spending up to $300 on a quality pair of boots that will look sharp, be comfortable and fit within company guidlines. Is there any chance or do I just have to wear ugly ass boots for the foreseeable future?
