Really? It looks pretty modern to me, and they have various new versions too. Which tend to be huge. There's a certain LARPy feel to them but I don't think it's the vintage LARP, I'd associate them more with MiB LARP.

A quartz grand seiko or citizen watch.
For grand seiko the SBGX261 in black or the SBGX263 with the champagne dial

Going for about $1,500 on chrono24 right now shipped from japan
For the citizen the citizen "the citizen" chronomaster AQ4080-52L in blue dial or AQ4080-52A in silver dial
Going for about $1,500 on chrono24 right now from japan
Perpetual calander, jumping hour hand, ± 5 seconds per year, solar quartz so no maintenance for at least a decade.
https://www.sakurawatches.com/citizen-the-citizen-aq4080-52l
Look up the model #s on google images or YouTube because the renders absolutely do not do them justice
https://youtube.com/watch?v=43JJ9t7gDmg
These are bar non the best smaller dialy watches you can buy in the sub $2000 price category, they both usually retail for over $2000 but the yen is weak right now.

The look of it is nice, but fossil isn't really a watch brand they produce leather goods. If you are looking for a good each at that price that people here will respect try Seiko, Citizen or Orient (although their logo is divisive and can be considered tacky). Maybe an open heart Hamilton jazzmaster, which is similar to that in style, would be a good upgrade.

Anyway if there are so many watches that fit these parameters - let me know. Parameters being:
>Two tone with solid yellow gold
>Mass produced movement regulated to within few seconds a day accuracy
>34-39mm

Nigger, I get paid as checks are collected. I get 10% of collected checks, and then my balance of commission once we finish and final profitability is established. For example, these people have paid me 600k for a deposit, and there are two outstanding milestone payments for 700k each. When I collect those in the next 21 days and 45ish days, I will get 70k each time. Once I finish and collect everything in full, we run the numbers and split the balance of the profit, which is generally another 8-12% of the contract price on top of the 10% I've already drawn out. If I we can close the Big Lots complex I've been working on before the end of October, and I can finish it before it gets to cold for the bonding adhesive to flash off...then I will crack a million by a good margin. That's a 4-4.5 milly boy right there, an I'll make roughly 20% of that total. Also, how much do YOU make, /fa/ggot? I don't know of any job where the income potential is literally limitless and tethered exclusively to your skill level and willingness to work hard as fuck.

I work for a Carlisle certified commerical roofing contractor, and I specialize in insurance claims for wind and hail damage. I don't do spec bids at all. I do exclusively insurance work because the profit margin is way better and the sales end here in Indianapolis is stupid easy (I don't have to pay for this?...my insurance will?...okay). The old standard used to be 10/50/50, meaning 10% for company overhead comes off the top for the job and then we split the profit. Now, I am on a simple 50/50 profit split with no overhead because I do everything by myself (sales, insurance claims work, ordering, subcontractor scheduling, project management, invoicing and collections). It's hard to find a job that pays like this anymore because everyone wants to pay a small salary with bullshit commission and shitty benefits. If your doing retail bid work, good luck. The worse things get, the less money property owners are willing to spend to fix their shit correctly. This is the primary reason why I do insurance work because they aren't paying, and I am exceptionally skilled at prying large amounts of money from their Jew hands.

Consulting on the contractor end is something I've been debating on starting and eventually switching to full-time in the next couple of years. Things inevitably change on the policy language end to make things more difficult for folks like me. After they pay out a shit load of money in a given area, policy exclusions and coverage changes follow next renewal cycle to attempt to preclude them from paying any more money. I am good at getting around it, but things are already getting more difficult now. Every goddamn one of these has a large Loss adjuster, his boss, his bosses boss, a building consultant, and a forensic engineer attached to it to deny deny deny. I have never had to hire a PA, meteorologist, our own engineers, building/code consultants, etc. to clear a claim until last year. I can only assume it will continue to get worse.

I can definitely recommend getting into consulting. Most of the reason I did so is because, frankly, I don't want to work that hard. Once you've made a certain amount of money, working is stupid unless you love it.

I started my career out as an analyst, putting together huge stacks of data that no one read and no one made decisions based on. Thousands of hours of work. When I realized that my boss was not paying attention to me, I nuked his career with HIS boss and took his job.
But running my own shop has kind of mellowed me out. I'm not in the rat race anymore.

tl;dr: there is no freedom in the world like knowing that every day you work will be entirely up to you.

Most don't realize most insurance companies are also banks, and whether they or not they like to admit it, they use their banking arm to hedge risk on the property and casualty end. I'll take a 50% pay cut on my commission (generally consultants are 10-12.5% flat fee), but I would get paid in full as soon as the claim closes and not have to build/manage it. One of the most important lessons I learned, and very early on: the first question you always ask is "can they pay me?" If they can't, you don't even need to pick up the phone.
I have no interest in having my lawyers chase down their lawyers to get anyone to pay their bills. Some of these suits take years to settle.
