It stopped working, I dropped it once and the rotor loosened which made noise. I tightened it and it was fine but a few years later and it's completely stopped working

35 years old is just my personal limit. IMO you need to have accomplished something at that age : being married, having children, being amazing at sports/music/whatever, having a great career or owning a nice place.
Buying a Rolex at that age is just a stupid but fun way of celebrating your success as a man. If you feel proud of yourself for whatever reason, then get a Rolex and flex it on losers.
This is why Rolex appeals to so many guys by the way. It's like an untold tradition among based men.

first time posting in WT

I fixed up my grandads old 70's seiko 4004.

The battery had corroded but fortunately was able to be replaced and the components it affected were able to be cleaned and still work great, the face was really dingy so had that cleaned, also the bracelet was broken so had one link removed and replaced.

Realize I paid as much to fix it as it would cost for a random one on ebay etc, but its something with sentimental value and desu I like how it looks alot and just the fact that it still keeps great time 50 or so years later.

What seiko should I get next? Sub $1000 I guess.

I'm a gray market dealer so I visit several ADs all the time to pick up inventory.

People looking to buy a Rolex come from all walks of life (though they're about 90% men). Mostly it's the older Boomers who flip out when they're told they have to wait while in full view of me leaving with 4-10 watches. The younger guys understand how the game is played.
