Convince one of your colleagues (who‘s good at talking but slightly less attractive than you) to go out with you on the razzle dazzle, either a friday or saturday night.

Douse yourself in something that smells interesting but fresh, for example H24 or BI or some shit. Right so then you’re both sitting at the bar, shooting the shit having a grand old time. Everytime you go to the toilets to drain the dragon or powder your nose or what have you, freshen yourself up with 2-3 spritz from your decant. Contrary to popular opinion, women typically don’t like fecal smelling oud or very “challenging” niche scents. You will be more likely to get your dick sucked if you smell like you have just showered.

Right so from then on, it’s just a waiting game, all you have to do is look like your having fun and smell good, women will get close to you so they can sniff at you. Ask then what their name is and what they’re called. Then tell them they look good and then will also tell you that you look good. At this point, the ice is broken and you’re golden. It’s that easy lad and remember…don’t be silly and wrap your willy.

Dated as I have never smelled anything similar at a store before (just Paco Rabanne Pour Homme and that is dated too), surely something that was more common in the 90ies, with the heavy soap and aromatic notes. Yet it's very pleasant, it's just dated in a fashion sort of way, just like clubbing frags are now popular.

Did an experiment today. Layered drakkar noir with cuba royal, which is a shitty 10$ dupe of 1 million i got as a gift.
Thought this combo would make drakkar more "normie friendly".
The result i got is a basic women's lavender hairspray. The cuba is still more prominent with only 1 spray, as opposed to 2 of drakkar. Maybe this experiment would work better if i just used some straight up vanilla oil or vanilin.

A lot of anons dont like a fragrance because its in hype which is ridiculous because maybe only 1% of men wear a fragrance every day. Even though fragrances like Sauvage and Bleu de Chanel are really really popular, normies don’t smell it everywhere and they think it smells good. Same applies for BI, a lot of anons get pissy about it even though it costs like 75$ and is easy to enjoy. Funny how nobody gets pissy about artisan niche fragrances that smell like dirty asshole and cost 200$.

It’s the other way around. It’s just one fruity, vocal faggot who gets angry every time it is mentioned up and trolls. The silent majority of this thread loves BI. Every thread you have at least a few new anons getting it and saying how much they liked it. BI is unironically the best genuine discovery and original recommendation ever /frag/ had. Maybe other than cheapies but these are not really original and just parroted from elsewhere. The one faggot who hates it just dislikes the fact that BI is getting actual compliments unlike his $200 TOP10 PANTY DROPPERS he bought and never amounted him any unsolicited compliment from any women other than his mom (who I fuck and she loves smelling BI on me too).

2 party/social frags, one for the colder seasons and one for the warmer seasons.
2 work/school frags, one for the colder seasons and one for the warmer seasons.
These are the minimums in my opinion, but you can get by with a single frag for every occasion year round.

I think we often times forget most people especially men, either dont wear frags or wear one they got gifted. As long as you dont wear hyper niche awful smelling frags, and change up your scent daily, then you will be ok.

Yes. I’ve had a bottle of the old formula. The new bottle it’s not as strong as the older one. I got into a quarrel with a shop assistant because she kept insisting that it wasn’t reformulated. Too weak for my opinion. As for the older bottle, it reminded me of the smell when the burn incense in Spanish churches, heavy peppered. A mature scent, but I loved wearing it in my younger days. Closest thing to the older version I have sampled is Serge Lutens Fille en Aiguilles, which is as complex as it is expensive, SL being woodier and richer, but I have experienced the same longevity and sillage, which was plenty in both cases. Haven’t smelled the reformulated 7 in a while because I just gave up on the house at all. I still own a bottle of Loewe Cedro and I swear by it, but I feel like they changed not only the bottles, but the formulas as well. If you can get the older version go for it, if not, you’ll get a watered down version that doesn’t compare to the original.

I've been complimented on various frags. All of the following compliments were from women:
>Tommy Bahama Martinique: not a very strong frag and I didn't spray much. Said she liked it when she gave me a hug.
>Drakkar Noir: when I drenched myself in it and walked out the door of my place on my way somewhere.
>Acqua di Gio: at work when I went to the bathroom and decided to use my mini atomizer a couple times because AdG is super weak
The only common thread I can find it that I get compliments when people can actually smell it. If you spray one or two sprays and think you're being considerate or something, most likely nobody knows you're even wearing something.

At work I said who smells nice? and one guy comes up and says oh it must be me haha, I'm wearing Burberry for men or something. I couldn't smell him, but I could smell the guy across the room who just used a ton of something that smelled like Explorer.

Basically in my experience the only "compliment getters" are just fragrances that are good enough and also that are strong enough to be noticed. I also was complimented on Fahrenheit the other day, now that I think of it. None of these are the typical ones you see people shill.

I think some people are severely autistic and if you're autistic and ugly looking then 40 sprays of sauvage will only serve to disgust people.

L'Homme Ideal EdT didn't impress me, but I have the EdP and Extreme. The new Guerlain bottles suck, the spray cap is too tiny and the hole too close to the top, so the skin of your fingers might get in the way.

Ganymede:
Imagine cold, ozonic, citrus notes over a dry saw dust accord with sweet curry spices in the drydown.

Encelade:
Really sour-fruity, i mean really intense fruity rubharb, layered with green vetiver and very light leather. The sillage it will leave is mostly a sour-fruity-slightly sweet whiff. Nothing like Ganymede and mostly feminine in my honest opinion.
Could also be a metrosexual clubbing scent, kills Eros or Aventus in that category.

It seems so random that in the end my takeaway is that while some frags have that "sexy" DNA, they're usually boring and you're better off just wearing whatever you want as long as it's still reasonably mass-pleasing i.e. not extremely niche and potentially stinky.

> Amouage Overture Man
Can't quite describe this, it just smells dirty for me, but still quite refined. Somehow reminds me of a punk/anarchist aesthetic

> Amouage Journey Man
Smells like I shoved my face inside a wooden box that used to be filled with spices. If you really like the smell of wood and a lot of eastern spices, this is pretty good.

> Idole de Lubin
Starts interesting, with a boozy note, but dries down to a very sweet, sugary scent, and ends up smelling very feminine in the end. For power-bottoms or mommy-doms

Smells like delicious aged whisky with a dirty rose for background. Somehow ends up smelling very masculine and very luxurious. Definitely try this if you want to smell like a rich alcoholic

Of course, you could walk up and spray tester bottles directly on skin, but it’s pretty inconvenient to do so for several frags and you’ll probably experience nose fatigue. Also many stores have been less willing to decant their tester bottles and give out samples because of customers who abuse this practice.

Unlike beaver the trappers don't dry the glands normally. Instead they make a puree of them and then can them and sell them as bait for other trappers to use. So the only way you can buy muskrat glands online is raw and blended in a jar with enough alcohol to keep it from going rancid.
I just have zero interest in buying a jar of ground upuskrat glands.
