I have a few of their natos and a waffle strap and am very happy with them. The leather/suede straps leave something to be desired, the stitching on the vintage style straps is awful and I've had to glue it to stop it coming undone and They're also really thick. I do really like the rubber waffle. I boiled it while rolled up so that it fits my wrist better and it works perfectly, pic related. Their ribbed nato is also very good quality, definitely recommend it.

James Bond wore a 7A28 7020 in A View to a Kill.
The British Air Force had their own variant.
All that and the 7A28 was also the first ever analogue quartz chronograph. I love mine, Robert Redford wore one in Sneakers and the South African Air Force used this model too.

Everyone has the technology. It's not as fantastically complex as you think it is. Seiko holds the patents. But the larger point is that no one else wants to make it. It's expensive and 90% of the people you want to sell it to will dismiss it as being "Basically quartz".

Because of their insane obesity rate, fatsos can't wear medium size watches, it looks tiny and ridiculous. So the Swiss industry started making large diameter watches in the 90s to boost their sales in America. And because luxury is all about limited production, it was more profitable for the watchmakers to market large watches for the whole world than making different sizes for different markets.
This is why you'll find some retards here claiming that REAL MEN WEAR LARGE WATCHES DURRR COPE WRISTLET. They were just fooled by luxury brands and don't even realize it.

I guess this is my favorite kind of movement. Manual wind, 17 jewels, central-seconds, no-date, not one that's superfluous extra part, the whole thing is as simple as it can be, within reason, while simultaneously every part is superbly built.

The finishing is pretty much Rolex quality from the period, which is not surprising, considering from the late 80's Zenith was the supplier of movements for the Daytona, though this is much earlier. No Geneva-stripes, or any other excessive patterns, just simple, but high quality brushing and polishing.

This is the only soulful Bond watch because fans of Goldeneye are giga-based. I think the only thing that can be even more soulful than this would be the quartz to be 1:1 with the watch in the movie but for all intents and purposes, this watch is great.
