There's a lot of unscrupulous vendors who sell "vintage" watches that are actually just garbage and they rely on uninformed buyers.
This happens at every level. You can find "vintage" Pateks that are slapped together with Patek Philippe dremeled into the movement. Maybe the case or dial is genuine and everything else isn't.
Plenty of guys get excited that they can buy a "vintage" Rolex that is actually almost entirely built out of third-party replacement parts.

They're just trinkets- fun to see but totally impractical to use it doesn't make sense. Most have a water resistance of basically 0 to the point you really could fuck one up if a drink splashes on you. Accuracy even when new was mediocre and you'll be lucky to be within 3 minutes a day

Should I feel bad about spending ~$650 on a quartz watch or is that in solid mechanical territory? Problem is this one is packed with features that I like such as the dial color, titanium, day of the week, chrono, date, radio atomic clock time and solar charging.
