I'd lean more toward a Seiko. Will it last 20 years without service? Probably not, but I'd bet it'll last longer than Vostok without service. Either way if you do eventually want to get it serviced they just replace the whole movement since they're cheap garbage. They'll both keep terrible time after 10 years if they are even still running. Hell, they keep terrible time right out of the box.

It's probably worth spending a little more to get something not so disposable.

I already use quartz, the idea of a durable mechanical watch just interests me. Just like G-Shocks being able to get run over by a tank and survive, I think it'd be funny if there was some mechanical watch that was similarly indestructible while most mechanicals shit themselves when you keep it to close to a magnet or have it drop a small distance.
