I love how there's always at least one bald thread going on /fa/ at all times. It tells you everything you need to know.

I took the buzzpill just under a year ago, but my hair loss snuck up on me big time. Like, I genuinely had no idea I was balding until my young brother shaved his head to cope. Then it was honestly like a matter of 6-8 months before I had to do the same.

My point here is... it's coming for you. Even if you think it isn't, it is.

I don't have any illusions that I look better with a buzzed head than I did before balding, but I definitely look better than I did with weird patchy wisps. I sometimes get a #2 buzzcut or a #1 at the shortest. I never do skin bald though. I just don't like the look of skin bald with glasses.

Also, I like change so I don't always buzz my head. I sometimes like to grow it out, especially during the winter. I don't think there's anything wrong with that as long as you're not embarrassed about balding, especially if you're older than 30.

You deal with it by realising this fact and accepting the brevity of youth. Lots of men lose their hair and they don't all kill themselves. Is it better to have hair then not have hair? Of course, duh. If it normal to mourn the loss of your hair? Definitely. But it's not the death sentence that the people online will have you believe. Plus there's always fin.

I'm in my early 30s and honestly, going completely bald is not that common for guys my age.

I do see guys with receded hairlines, but they're usually an NW1 or NW2 at most. And their hair loss doesn't seem to advance. Contrary to popular belief, not everyone with male pattern baldness goes all the way to an NW7.

In my case, I have a visible horseshoe and I simply can't compete with most guys. It's just not fair. If I knew I was going to lose my hair at such an early age, I would've made it a priority to get married earlier.
