The Parfum is magnificent. The edt and LP are basically two separate fragrances imo. It still has the very masculine notes the edt does. However the leather and gasoline notes are massively toned down for instead this vanilla and amazing boozy rum note. Deffo recommend if you’re in your mid to late 20s, whereas the edt is a no go in my opinion. Not until you reach 30s or even 40s minimum. This shit is also loud af and long lasting. My number going out with boys/ family functions fragrance.

I really can't tell what the deal is if it's batch variations or what. I have a tester with lalique beauty services printed on the bottom which according to forum lore is whrn they got heavily watered down and losat performance. But with my bottle it's easily the strongest fragrance i own. 4+ hours of strong projection and i can smell it pretty strongly 12+ hours later. I will note that i mostly dont go noseblind to iso e super and i can smell most of my iso e super heavy frags on me the day after i wear them. But beyond iso e super encre noir extreme also has a very strong woody amber fragrance molecule that isint iso e that seems to me to be the most pungent part of the fragrance.
Other anons with more recent bottles have complained of poor performance and lalique did get bought out by a conglomerate that has a reputation for watering down frags but i really can't tell how much is the frag actually getting watered down and how much is some people going completely noseblind to iso e super after 15 minutes.

Just sprayed it again, haven’t smelled it a while.
I take the boyish part back. What I mean is: it’s got a bit of a generic sporty-shower-freshie vibe going on and therefore feels a bit younger and casual.
The pepper/bergamot vibe is really damn good but the lemon - which is the most prominent part - has a really artificial cleaning product vibe to it. That dies down though and gets better.

It basically smells like artificial lemon with a nice pepper/bergamot/ginger accord behind that and a nice soft woody accord behind that.

Pretty good but also a bit generic and basically like modern Chanel/Dior just smells. If you like that try it.

if you buy from a reputable company online (luckyscent, fragrancenet, maxaroma) you will not get fakes. ebay, amazon (depending on the seller) are iffy... you could get fakes. and of course frags go through reformulations. maybe an ingredient is no longer compliant with regulatory authorities so the house has to redesign the juice which could affect notes/performance.

So I'm a 25 year old guy, Im a bit nerdy but alternative looking, think round glasses, big beard or mustache (I do a beard-mustache rotation based on the seasons), really long hair, but I dress mostly in dark and neutral colours, lots of black and grey, I try to dress nice but on the casual side, Im so skinny and short everything is oversized but I embrace it. Im a computer scientist and Im not the most social guy but I do go out.
Im kinda edgy kinda autistic, from what little frags Ive smelled I seem to like woodsier and darker smells like Encre Noir and Black Afgano, stuff like that. I was wondering if you guys had any recommendations for something that fits my general allure and 'vibe'.

>> No.17098480

>>17098461
Honestly Encre Noire already fits that perfectly, as most other woody and darkish smells tend to go more clearly masculine.

Maybe Tam Dao or Hwyl could be your thing, they're a little more edgy than EN.

Because that's an anti-perspirant, not a deodorant. I'm using an unscented deodorant on days where I hit the gym and an anti-perspirant on the other days, mostly when it's hot. On colder days I use the deodorant exclusively. There's a difference between preventing you from sweating and actively killing the bacteria creating the odor, as well as suppressing the fresh odor chemicals they create.
If I had to shill anything, it would be the Nivea Protect & Care roll-on. Might be a local product, though (Germany).

Why not? If it's a first date I think it might matter. Also I care because I wear this perfume when I'm cold approaching women. Not that anon, but to me the mandarin notes aren't that long-lasting in CW Intense. It uses real mandarin oil at least, so that's something. Everything else stays for a long time, though. It has a crowdpleasing strong amber drydown, so that needs to be your thing. If you generally hate fragrances of that type, it's not worth it. Overall, I wish it had more coconut, but I like it.

I'm also not willing to call it cheap smelling, because it certainly is not, at least once you've smelled Bogart or Joop frags in comparison. Probably best to test it yourself.

I'd say Sailing Day is all the marine notes you can possibly dream of then - it maybe doesn't have the depth of the AdPs, but is nice, clean and balanced.

Replica has in general been a discovery for me - liking the concept of "moment" frags, and they pull off the execution breddy well. More serious perfumes seem more like defining or reflecting me when I wear them, whereas these just fit a setting or occasion. Both are neat. My gf got me the sampler set of Replica, and it's been a rather fun time trying them all, though some are rather sweet.

Yeah, I just smelled Cool Water like a week ago, thought of maybe getting that as a gift for a friend (didn't, he is basic but not that basic, got him CK Eternity EDT), and yeah - CW smells like fuccbois from 2005. And I say as someone who wore Kenzo Homo back then, also as an aftershave.

Fragrances don't induce headaches, that's from autosuggestion. You've read somewhere that fragrances give headaches and now you get headaches from certain frags which you associate with the first time you got a headache with a fragrance, even though it was unrelated.
Fragrances can only cause migraines, so if it isn't a migraine, you didn't get the headache from the frag, but your weak mind.

The Reformulations over the years cut away a lot of the character. IIRC also some of the Ingredients in the Base Note got banned in Europe and were taken out of the Formula.
