Similar 5 series seikos are like $120+ now Saw the seller only had 1 positive feedback and went looking for the same watch. Found at least 3 other sellers with way more positive feedback and lo and behold they're all located in some indian city or whatever. Shipping is free and estimated to take about a month.

Yes, they do. Not as much as they used to, since materials and manufacturing processes have improved.
Most of the changes in accuracy and precision that you see when you've been running a movement for a while is the lubricating oils distributing themselves throughout the movement. When the movement has been sitting for a while, those oils can begin to pool in one area and create drag in the gear train or on the balance staff.

Accutron was a line of watches made by Bulova in the US, around 1960. It was one of the first electric watches. Interestingly it does not use a quartz oscillator.

That particular model, referred to as the SpaceView, was never actually intended to be sold to the public. The transparent dial was a demonstrator for salesmen to be able to show how radically different the Accutron was compared to a normal mechanical watch. Of course, people wanted the SpaceView and Bulova quickly caved.

Yeah. Now what's really funny is that a few years ago, Bulova-Accutron decided to re-release the watch in celebration of it's 50th anniversary. Most Accutrons these days are just normal quartz, but the company wanted to also re-release the electric tuning fork movement.

The only problem was that there was no one left at the company who knew how they worked, so they basically had to completely re-engineer this now-obsolete technology from scratch.
