Reposting my elementary school core, Warhol esque meta joke, diabetes water peddling multinational corporation watch I got on clearance.
Removing folded links is a mother. But this bracelet seems to be of slightly higher quality than a regular Q and I like the look of it more. Also has a solid steel bezel rather than having that plastic ring underneath.

that's all you need to know. If you have ever even the slightliest doubt that a rolex is real, 99% of the time it's fake.

I'm seriously considering one of these beauties, or the 40mm more basic Longines Spirit (no GMT or ceramic bezel, but thinner and 850$ cheaper). It seems like actually decent value for money in today's market, and I like Longines.

Holy shit that's awesome. It's a shame they're so cheap, if that was solid gold and cost some money I'd be all over it.

Is anyone here actually rich? I am, just about. Net worth is less than 20mil and "cash" income is about 300k/month this year so far.

I have an f91w, plus the silver version for special occasions. I really think most watches are cringe as fuck.

I have this mate who earns alright money (low 6 figs per year) and wears meme 20-40k Rolex's and is always trying to get someone who cares to actually notice it and say something.

I'm not averse to signalling wealth/status, and I'm not totally autistic, but I just haven't been able to understand how watches fit in - surely you have to be 6 inches away from the watch, and a complete fucking nerd/collector, to even know what someone is actually wearing.

Patek is popular the same reason Rolex is popular. Everyone just sort of agrees that it's the benchmark.

Think about it: every dive watch anyone makes is compared to the Submariner. When Rolex updates the Submariner, no one asks "How does this compare to the Seamaster?" They ask, how does this compare to the old Submariner.
Similarly, with Patek, it's the benchmark of excellence in that luxury segment. Lots of people are fine with the benchmark rather than having something that is a little better in some ways and a little worse in other ways.

go find one IRL and try it on: depending on your wrist size, the case might have a lot of overhang and not sit comfortably on your arm

if you don't have a local shop with display models, measure the circumference of your wrist: with your fingers splayed, wrap a tailor's measure or a piece of string round the part of the wrist where you feel most comfortable wearing a watch

most reviewers with less that 7 inch wrists find the watch a bit ungainly to the point where they can't wear it

This watch got super popular from reviewers and the 'watch community' praising it. Imo it sucks because tissot bracelets (and even their straps) are notoriously dogshit, so regardless of how you like the rest of the watch you're getting an integrated bracelet design with a terrible bracelet. Of course watch reviewers don't care about this because they never have it on for more than a minute or two at a time. I have tried it on and it was pretty anticlimactic.

Is the timezone change useful at the voyage? Did synchronization with the towers works at ocean? And will it change the timezone on the clock automatically when you pass through it? Or for this kind of shit you need garmin or something with gps?

On my Lineage you have to input the timezone at the beginning, i doubt it has a way of knowing in which timezone it is. Seiko Astron has it because it actually works off of GPS signal.

Ships, at least bulk carriers, move relatively slow. We go most of the time at economy speed 13kts so you don't really have huge issues with timezone change I do it manually. And yes it receives signal at sea

It's not though, it's 2x as much. Plus the 35mm one is only in quartz right now, and the original this is based on was quartz. I didn't see the point in spending double for a daily beater with the mediocre powermatic movement, plus 40mm which I don't like the look of.
