Congrats Anon! It fits you well! If you haven't already, make sure you do a clean with a toothbrush and a little water, and it should be okay if you use soap as well. Detach the bracelet and clean that really well with the toothbrush, inside the link areas because that's where lots of grime gets into. How's it running?

>>17053872
Well, maybe I'm just looking at it from the perspective of what it is compared to what we see today. We're inundated with high-definition macro-lensed videos featuring Grand Seiko and their Zuuuuurratzzzzu polishing and so forth, so a watch from the 90s from Omega would never be able to compete with that from the get-go. Then, factor in 30 years of wear and tear, and you'll have a watch that looks dull, maybe with losanging on the corners and beveled edges, further contributing to the look of the case being unrefined. From a single pic, it's a realistic perception, because most super-reps now are the same quality in terms of photo-look.

So, long-winded way of saying, 'it's a realistic perspective to have' if Anon had never seen one before. Also, the mid-size Seamaster has a different dial set, with different proportions of the hands, indices, and date window, so once again it pushes the viewer towards 'rep'.

17053880

For instance: this 2254.50 is genuine, but I bought it used and it's at Omega for servicing right now. This is a pic before...I can't wait to take a pic when it gets back. In this pic, it looks dull, washed out, and plain. That's what 30 year-old watches that have been worn hard look like. Maybe the Anon was just trolling, but it's a fair criticism especially if one is seriously considering getting a used watch. They'll think it's not worth it, and in many cases, it's probably not unless you are a fan of a particular model or find a very good example. Remember that in the past few years, the expectation of buyers has increased significantly, probably due to the amount of material there is on the net.

Citizen made this diver in 1977.
The watch was lost in the sea by its owner, and found decades later with literal rocks growing on it.
When it was found, the watch was still airtight.
After Citizen serviced, the watch is working again.

As what? A salesperson? I managed a high end retail store for a while. When I was hiring people I was mainly looking for people who seemed friendly, honest, and passionate. Product knowledge is way down the priority list because it’s easy to learn on the job. Let your passion for watches show a bit and don’t come across as a sleazy used car salesman and you’ll be ahead of 99% of candidates. It is extremely rare that a customer will know what finishing is or even be able to differentiate between an automatic or manual movement. Most watches I sold went to boomers who got a bonus and wanted a Breitling because they saw it in Thunderball or a wife who wants a gift for her husband. Unless you start selling JLC or higher you’ll pretty much never be asked a question other than
>How much does it cost?
and
>How long does the battery last?

I've never worked retail but I've had a number of people recommend that I try sales and this is where I go for most of my jewelry needs. I'll try to tone down the sperg, but honestly I've already talked shop with most of the employees that know anything about watches and it might be too late to hide my power level. The idea of a lazy job where I talk with nerds about niche interest sounds fun, but im sure i can manage boomers and people that just want to flex a 2k watch. Thanks anon!

If you're using windows, right click on the image you want to upload and select the properties.
Then go to Details and at the bottom it will say:
>"Remove Properties and Personal Information"
Click on that and it will give you the option to:
>"Create a copy with all possible properties removed"
Select OK and it'll make a copy of the image. Use that copy to upload and the image shouldn't be rotated.

both of these gshocks cost the same and the main difference I noticed is that the first one dont have multi band which isnt big deal for me. any other differences I should know about? I like the first one (the bluish) because it looks more clean and less busy and I prefer it over the second one with the red square thing on the display. I am hesitant about buying it though because its from a third party seller and it doesnt have too many reviews compared to the second one, which is sold by casio's amazon store. also in the answered questions somebody said the watch is made in thailand. so I like the design of the first but it seems less reliable, idk, what do you think?
