>buy used garbage!
>buy fast fashion!

Fashion is one of those things that isn't really interesting unless you're willing to invest time and money into developing a somewhat unique look. Nobody cares about your ready-to-wear brands, your boring $100 total fit, or ill-fitting clothing. Clothes that fit is the bare fucking minimum that even normies can accomplish.

Just look at this fit:
>>15986776
yeah it's a cool picture. good composition and colors. But the fit is just so average. Average body, average boring clothing, sneakers you can get just anywhere. You might dress slightly better than your friends but why post it? It's not interesting from a clothing standpoint.

This is exactly my point, it doesn't have to be crazy, but there's a certain level of quality that brings interest. High, luxury, and artisanal brands all sell regular slim-tapered jeans and t-shirts. You don't have to wear a fucking cape to be interesting, quality clothing that fits well and has a congruent style is all it takes.

Shirts I get from wherever so target or walmart or whatever store in the mall like uniqlo. Its all around the same price
For pants you gotta find which store sells the stuff you like the best. For me its Hollister. Good solid jeans and chinos.
Shoes are online if I know my size and how they'll fit. I go irl to try them out and find fit plus see how they actually look. But nike, vans, other major companies or small ones I just see posted.
Jackets can be from multiple places. I do thrift stores and etsy and stuff. But I also go to the mall. You'd be surprised how you'll find a nice gem every once in a while.

What you're saying seems fairly prescriptive and arbitrary. Some people could find cheaper things aesthetically interesting so long as they're put together in an interesting way, just like expensive items are not automatically aesthetically interesting, especially if they're put together in an uninteresting way, a category which your pic arguably represents, although I won't jump to conclusions from that image alone (the pattern layered under a matching neutral color is definitely unpleasant to my eye).

I make my own fits when I can. A quality sewing machine and YT tutorials can be your best friends, and don't be afraid of using velcro or going to Goodwill.

Went into AllSaints, Nordstrom, and Arc'teryx in my city recently and techninja cyberwave whatever tf it's called has clearly seeped out of /fa/ and on to the fashion mainstream.
