Sadly, unless you are a Clergyman, yes.

>> No.15908981

The cape is very large, which is good for warmth, but unless you're a Cleric as stated by anon >>15908956, this black coat would seem unusual for a Layman to wear everyday. Also, If the coat had a shorter cape with only a single row of buttons and were grey or navy, then it might look better.

>>15908981
can you help me find a picture of a similar coat with a shorter cape like you just stated?

Wrong, but you have to have round sunglasses. Your hair has to be nice at minimum. I can't say a specific hairstyle, it's one of those general good looking things.

I'll see if I can find something to post for you.

here is a side picture to eliminate any illusions of the cape length

There was a guy on my college campus who always draped a full length cape over his shoulder, and one day he fucking tripped on it while walking down a staircase and fell on his hands

I don't think you're asking yourself the right question. The right question is: How does one pull off a coat with cape? If you're think you're able to, go for it, if not stay away from it

Two Types of Overcoat with shoulder cape:

- Ulster Coat (with sleeves)
- Inverness Coat (sleeveless)

Clothes aren’t autistic. Their wearers are.

Being not fat and generaly fit also helps.
With the roundglasses you become legally obligated to cc a Caldwell Pax

>Isn't this actually a Cloak? Cloak vs. Cape
>>15909071
A Cape is the oval fabric piece overlaying a coat from shoulders downwards towards the elbows, so it's component of another garment.

>>15909075
A Coak is a round or oval garment with two halves joining with clasp/button below chin at front, with or without arm holes, and extending down either to knee or even beyond toward floor length.

It's an unusual style, which means it's likely to clash badly with outfits and look awkward.
Another option is an oilskin duster. It has a cape, but is considered casual/workwear and can go with just about anything at least in my region.

It works on the protagonist for the giallo classic, a lizard in a woman's skin

..but she's hot and Italian and you're probably neither
