I recieved a bottle as a Christmas present many years ago and only used it maybe twice. It's just too feminine for my tastes.
It sat on a shelf for years before I finally ended up throwing it away since I had no use for it.
Stetson Sierra was one I really liked. It reminded me of a cheap version of Polo Crest. Unfortunately they discontinued both it and Polo Crest

Anyone heard of this Australian brand Mihan Aromatics? They’re on the pricier side of the spectrum ($220 for a bottle) but I got two samples with my order: Mikado Bark and Munlark Ash. I sprayed second one and gave my gf first one to use. Hers is a smooth, almost creamy, woody scent with one of the best cinnamon note I’ve smelled and mine is dark smoky campfire smell (albeit she doesn’t like it and said that it smells like a damp basement).

Vanilla is usually not very good for summer. You usually only wear them on some light orientals like Layton and only at night at that. Citrus you are going to have things like dior homme colgone, ferrari bright neroli, bulgari wood neroli, original adg and that one d&g tangerine frag. Also, check out frapin l’humaniste, prada l’homme l’eau and amouage reflection man for summer. They aren’t citrusy, but still interesting takes for the season.

Sure, but I forgot to mention Aventus/Aventus Cologne for summer. A lot of people hate them, specially the cologne, but I think they are good frags. Maybe get clones instead of the real thing if money is a concern, though. They are quite expensive and the company is trash.
By "masculine" I assume you mean those woody aromatic fougeres with a ton of oakmoss that were popular last century like Polo Green, Aspen and the likes. They are still decent (maybe not so much aspen), but there is also davidoff zino, its clone, Tom Ford Italian Cypress, TF Beau de Jour, Dior Eau Sauvage line and Invasion Barbare for a more exotic, powdery take on this archetype. I am not particularly into fougeres, and I only own Invasion Barbare and Polo Green, so maybe other people can improve on my suggestions.
If you feel like exploring, there is prada amber pour homme for a soapy powdery floral fragrance (similar to l'homme in many aspects) alongside most of the amouage line. If you want to go oriental, L'Air du Desert Marrocain by Tauer is a classic amber+coriander seed fragrance that I really enjoy.
For sweet, mostly oriental, frags, check out feve delicieuse/tonka imperial (almost identical tonka bean frags from dior and guerlain, respectively), Serge Lutens Ambre Sultan, Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, Zadig & Voltaire This is him and Parfums de Marly Layton. Who knows, you may like them.
And buying decants or going for testers before commiting to a bottle is usually a good idea for saving money and space.

This is going to be my staple of eight. I have other stuff but this is THE rotation from now on. The old rotation was mainly versace. Also I keep all of these in their boxes, if the whole UV light thing is bullshit let me know, maybe it doesn't matter. Youtubers with thousands of bottles seem to not give a fuck and keep their lights on them.

>Halloween Man X
A coffee version of versace eros, I have a bottle of flame, I had OG eros. After going side by side I ultimately prefer this for that coffee element and just a slightly different vibe.
>Versace L'homme
this is coming in from my old rotation, I have a new one in box for when I go through this. Luxurious and bright. Kind of reminds me of going into the back of an old car where sun has been baking the leather. Very loud and suffocating in a good way, stays with you.
>Drakkar Noir
I know reformulations have not been kind to it, and I wasn't blown back or impressed at first. This is waaaaay more subdued and chill then people would have you believe, I go heavy on the sprays. Just a relaxing kind of mild shaving cream type of vibe, also I don't get a dated feeling from this at all.
>Open Black
heavy tobacco soap, power, does not smell like its 12 dollars, get this, really good
>fahrenheit EDT
I don't know if I go noseblind to it or what, I probably do. love it when I actually smell it. I plan on wearing this in summer because I want to get choked out by it and have it burn through the air
>CDMI
I get the adventus hype, it's cool, very versatile I can see myself drenching in this come summer
>st.barts
It smells like this delicious lime, like a corona with sand in it. Gotta be 394 degrees to get the most out of it but this is so safe in a good way if you want more tropical and less blue fragrance for summer
>Chameleon
When summer comes I will buy a full bottle. This smells like what I imagine a brazilian whore smells like, either she massages and jerks you off with this or she smells like it, so good, intoxicating

Does Amouage have bots pumping the Fragrantica reviews of Overture Man? It has a 4.7 at 500 votes, and as you can see in this pic people overwhelmingly rate it as a great value, even though it costs minimum 300 dollars. Their creative input is reduced to making videos how good and unique these are to make money on them. Virtually all perfumes are made by perfumers, I don't get your point. That's why while I think that Jeremy is full of shit I at least respect he has skin in the game and went an extra mile to find a perfumer and probably actually discuss with him what he wants. With others I bet they just receive 10 samples from some company - pick 5 out of these that they like and have a call or two about making a marketing pitch for every of these 5. >You're looking into a wrong place to improve then. Fragrance will give you a very marginal edge at this mate. Get a gym membership, improve your style and grooming habits but foremostly develop some personality. You're exactly the reason why Jeremy got so popular - his channel is entirely built upon a promise of getting laid simply by buying something that he gives to to young guys struggling with women. That's also the reason behind Aventus success - years of internet rumors on the grapevine about how well received by women it is and lying about compliments that started on some PUA forums decades ago (btw it was the same with Escentric Molecules - it was claimed to be a 'getting laid pheromone'). No fragrance alone will get you laid.

The clones are likely to give you a very similar experience to the real thing and, in some cases, may even be more competent than Creed in giving you “real” aventus because of retarded batch variation that makes buying their frags a russian roulette. There is also the fact that Creed refuses to name the actual perfumers of their products, completely stripping them from the prestige and results from their work while claiming or at least inferring that Olivier and Erwin Creed “created” the fragrances (they did not). There is also price gouging, fake history, bad customer support, lies about the composition of the frags, etc...
Overall a shitty company that happens to hire good perfumers which they don’t name or probably pay well, just buy the cheapest, most convincing clone you find and be done with it.

No, its not retarded. During my fragrance rabbit hole journey, i sampled a vast of frags, ranging from the most designerish to the most nicheish, tryng to capture the origin of quality, of uniqueness, trying to capture whats going on mind of the houses, from the biggest to the one man artisanal. My observation are pure, and of course drived im searching of the most exquisite smell

Also, why i can safely judge an entire house even if i just tryed 2 or 3 of their works? Because every house has its style of ingredients, and usually a common base too. Amouage style its harsh chemicals, simple but powerful. It can be acceptable (if u not implying cost) like interlude, to the absolute mess like lyric man (its a soapy rose, it can be good for someones...)

Also, i think i came to the conclusion that the best fragrance must be an exotic one. With simple combo of notes, maybe 3 to 5, and natural smelling and not harsh. It can be metallic or syntetich alien notes, but on the nostrils must be enter gently, not harsh. Also no need to be ginius. Just keep tryng chaotically, until u found a nice combo o notes. Why i think like that? Because for example, i tryed Dior Eau Sauvage and it seemed to me very simple and boring, although it was created by the "ginius" rodmund kfjsskndska

I live in a town in England that's surrounded by fields with bigger towns either side. A night out here is pretty dead. Nobody here wears fragrance except the young lads doused in Sauvage or old women on the hunt for some dick. The divorced dads are out in force too, smart/casual types who want to get with the women that want dick, but the women want younger men for some excitement.

If I go to the towns beyond the fields it's a slightly more upmarket affair, but perfume is still rare. Sauvage still dominates, but there's more chance of smelling something less shitty in certain places because there are more upmarket, sophisticated places instead of just a Wetherspoons.

If you have the seniority or its a relaxed office just wear what you want. I wear (wore, shit's closed due to corona) bortnikoff and papillon etc all the time.

musk khabib here on my right hand is dried down to be comfy as fuck broskis. And I usually dislike amber perfumes but this one's the best I've tried I think. Deep amber with some citrus and some potent musk behind, but it's not dirty, it's really clean musk somehow. I think I still prefer musk cologne over it, but that's mostly due to me favoring bortnikoffs incredible citrus top notes over the amber ones.

designers are the classics in the fragrance world not niche, show some respect. it's not like in the watch world, mallwatch doe snot equal mall fragrance. I can buy frederic malle at my mall btw. let people try what they feel like, i also wanted to explore the classics when i first started, and those are designers, mostly. stop trying to force niche for newbies that barely smelled 2 designers, if any ever. you see people here posting they got niche samples when they could not name 2 fragrances a day before. people smell and discuss what they want. No one is stopping anyone to post "advanced" discussions. This is not an "advanced" post btw:

>just sampled Rose Cuire D'un Jardin Sur le Apoteke d'Avignon Extrait de Parfum, it's a bla bla bla

If I lost all of my fragrances, half of which are niche, I can guarantee that the first thing I’d buy again is Eau Sauvage. It makes me happy like nothing else can on my shelf. It’s not a great performer, it’s probably neutered and nothing like Roudnistka’s original intention, but it’s so good regardless.

Nope. Classic are single pearsons (coco chanel, guerlein etc) who were pioneer and ginius. Then lucrative houses built upon them. This is true in every sector of life, not only frags. The "pioneer and genius" of today are artisanal and niche houses (small ones). Niche based on designer? I doubt. Try the true exotic niche houses, they are comoletely different from designer. Chanel number 5 and Guerlein Jicky its good. Classics, Dior Sauvage and company are sad.

So I've been testing the Acqua Allegorias I got with my recent feminine Turin-shilled decants order. Ended up giving Pamplelune away to my sister as she already wears ELDO Remarkable People that also has a prominent grapefruit note and it was simply to feminine for me. However, this one is great and legit unisex or even masculine-leaning. The most prominent note here is shiso mint that I only smelled in De Bachmakov from The Different Company before (I almost ended up buying a bottle of it last summer). I don't remember everything about De Bachmakov but this Guerlain is a strong contender. Good warm weather stuff that costs only around $40-$50 for a bottle here.
