I appreciate the reply but after googling up potassium I found out that I unknowingly consume a lot of it since I eat bananas like 5x a week, but evidently they don't work. Lowering salt consumption could do the trick though, since I eat quite a lot of salty snacks or instant ramen. Also after doing some more research I decided to switch my whey protein for whey protein isolate because it may have something to do with the lactose in it, but then again I take lactase pills. The most annoying thing about it is really this incertainty of what food does it, it's bugging the hell outta me and of courye that it happens in the first place. I weight 59kg and look more stuffed than a turkey on thanksgiving ffs.

How many of you eat breakfast? I eat 2-3 times a day. Usually I plan out my meals ahead of time on mfp. I live with my parents too and also only just now am trying to learn cooking, literally learned how to cook chicken, beans, and ground turkey yesterday. Before that I was living off anything I could just pick up and make. Canned soups, sandwiches, frozen food, raw vegetables, popcorn, canned tuna and chicken, ramen.

I plan out my meals pretty strategically. The day before I plan out times to eat that would leave me the most satiated. If I work early that means hunger kicks in faster so I have to have breakfast, then lunch around an hour after I get back from work, and a really late dinner because I don't usually go to sleep before 1am and for some reason staying up late makes me really hungry at night. If I don't work or work late I usually just skip breakfast.

Yeah I try to eat once a day but sometimes I end up having a small snack before bed. I'm slowly getting rid of that habit though.
I highly recommend protein shakes. Having one before or after dinner fills me up and completely gets rid of late-night cravings, and they're only like 200 cals with skim milk.

As for your question, I think that the general rule of losing weight as long as your calorie intake is lower than the outtake still applies. Start with water. Water really is an appetite suppressant. Carry a water bottle just about everywhere you go—work, home, car, etc. I recommend nothing below 40 oz.
Next, you wanna stock your cupboards. The more food you have, the more daunting it is to binge. I didn't believe it would work, but it really did. Don't focus on what you're actually eating, but how much of it. Portioning is the key to eating less. If you like oreos, eat oreos; you just have to be conscious of how many oreos you eat.
When it comes to calorie intake, I wouldn't set a hard limit below 1800. 1800 is that magic number where you will really start shedding your fat. Once you're comfortable, you can go lower.
That's was how I got started. It probably won't be the same for you, but the fundamental principles (eat less food, drink more water) stay the same. Good luck, king

i've kept the same level of activity since i started. i find that what i ate the day before is enough to tide me over as to not bonk from light exercise i.e. 1 hour bike ride and light body weight exercises.

i don't like counting calories and i don't binge, so the alternate day fasting works for me as a restriction. try it for a few days and see how you feel.

I think you're confusing terms. Your Total Daily Energy Expenditure measures the base amount of calories you burn per day. After 2, 7, 30 days, your TDEE stays the same because, by definition, it measures DAILY calorie burn.
