Yeah I usually wear them underneath my pants cuffed or uncuffed depending on the pants and without cuffing too high but high enough to show off the boots. Putting the pants inside them can look okay with nice looking, clean boots, but if you got bird legs it may not look very good.

I mean yes for style but maybe not for warmth
leather is cold in cold weather

I have two sets of Guidi combats, one is a custom backzip pair of 991's and the other is a pair of 5308CGV tanker boots. Can't recommend the 991's enough. I love the slim silhouette. I do like HH/Corcoran jump boots for a classic beefier style though.

>> No.15881993

wear them dirty or/also since you mostly dress black you should need a contrast either something bright or shiny

>> No.15882083

>>15881981
You could get a pair of reverse leather (also known as roughout leather) boots if you want something that isn't shiny. I personally think that chunky Doc Marten style boots like your picture with the contrast stitching and such stand out more than a basic military style boot.

Not more often, and not the type workers wore.

>>15881245

There not, they were given out by factory and coal mines for free only 50 years ago. 1500 dollar boots are not representative of the whole picture, to most they are a thoroughly working class item.

>> No.15882706

>>15881981
Just don't shine them, they end up looking dull. You should definitely try leather boots, though, they might actually look cool with your style.

>> No.15883164

>>15882502
Boots historically used leather, which is an expensive and time consuming material to produce. The actual production of the boot adds further labor cost. Boots were a luxury that the wealthy could afford. It's the luxury of being able to protect your feet and shins from the elements. Jack boots, for instance, are probably the most overt example of boots with their height and large swath of unbroken leather. They signify a station in life that could afford not only a tall boot but the horse to ride on.
