I think you bought the best looking watch from their lineup, i really like it and I'm not normally one for bullhorn lugs. I want to hear you take on the sports watch they are now offering. Do you like it? Do you think it's a good idea on the Brand's part or do you feel it's too far out of their wheelhouse?

>> No.15869841

>>15869835
I think the Urban Jürgensen One looks a lot better in person on the wrist than it does in photos. I do wish it had been 40mm and with a slightly thinner case.

Quality-wise, it's top tier. The bracelet is amazing and movement finish is top notch. Their GMT functionality is much more intuitive than many others.

Regarding if it's in their wheelhouse or not, I think with the UJ maritime history, it makes sense to the brand, plus it's what the market demands at the moment. You can't get any Patek steel watches, or Vacheron, or AP Royal Oaks. But you can get this, and it's boutique made.

Well I'm really tempted by a Roger Dubuis Much More...I've been trying to decide on a rectangular gold watch for quite a number of years, but I haven't found one that really hits the mark enough to pull the trigger. But that's the only 'dress' watch I want...everything else is either out of my price range or boring to my eyes.

You have a nice collection there; if you need something different, then perhaps something in gold, or maybe a watch with a different complication (like power reserve, day-date, etc.). But really, you have all you need.

It wasn't exactly cheap at its release, to be honest, at about $500. It's just that no one cares about it now.
On the minus side, it's super thick (about 16.5mm) which prevents me feom wearing it with a dress shirt.
It's actually titanium, so it's super light.
I too wish that Casio was less stupid about sizing.

Normally, the UHF quartz Bulovas come in cream/SS and black/PVD dial/case variants. Dont know why nobody at Bulova thought a black/SS would sell. Some dude went ahead and bought both and combined them. It would be a killer if it ever came from factory like that.

Nigger a reasonable price would be something like 500. Overshot, but still somewhat acceptable because fashion. 1,5-2k for a quartz is Rado tier and a shame. And what of their name? Where have been the last few decades? Somebody bought the legal rights and started chruning out china shitters with a "brand name" for exorbitant prices like TAG did with Heuer. Stowa and LaCo seem to be doing fine after all those years. Dont get me wrong, a chronometre rated quartz is kino, but the pricing is way off, well, just like anything, really.

Timex has better offerings now, also the weekender chronograph looks nicer

the basic 3 hand weekender is a iconic meme shitter, but its a real shitter in the true sense of the word-- a dollar quartz movement in a plated brass case along with non existent WR. For the same price you could of gotten the casio duro, which is steel and has sapphire and 200wr.

if you are talking about *fashion*, the timex marlin 34 or the casio a700/a1000/edifice EFV-110D looks better. You could also just get any of the casio mtp watches.

Very little.
No need to worry though, it will go to watch-heaven once it dies.

Modded f91ws and Databanks.
G-Shocks a shit, can't detonate a bomb with them, they won't even get you on a no-fly list.

It's made of cheap plastic and the mechanism is the size of a pea. So it'll take abuse fine, but it'll look like absolute shit within a year.

Is there anything worse? Oh, I went one pip over? Time to turn the whole thing around again.

Nobody uses "diver" watches for diving. Why are they still larping as anything other than a useful time keeper?

As much as I hate to say it, I agree with you for the most.

Yes at lower price points you are right (tudor) but not at the higher end, the guy spending £20k-30k on a watch has £50k for a watch because he has £200k-400k in investments and £70k liquid. Yes there is always 1 or 2 retards that spend 80% of there net worth on a watch.
