Micheal would most likely have the same haircut, perhaps the sides pulled in a bit more, but mostly he wouldn't wear an ascot and his suit would have a modern cut leaning towards transitional as The Godfather is an allegory for second generation immigrant families.

Shaved sides i.e. peaky blinders, boardwalk empire, hitler youth, has been played out for a couple years.

There's no one-size-fits-all hair cut. There are so many factors like headshape, hairline, facial proportions etc. Honestly get a hair cut that makes you feel all those things and once you feel truthfully that's when you'll be perceived as such. You can have a pony tail and a fu manchu, but if your confidant, i'll just become "your thing."
