I could tell you never go to the skatepark because people don't give a fuck if you're starting out. Most are very supportive and tell you to keep at it. This, I started skating when I was 10, I don't do it as much anymore. I did it from 10-25, day in day out, I can't be bothered to keep up with the culture, skating street in a gang when you are in your 30's is kind of pathetic, most other adults equate skating with scooter riding. Also, going to the park was such a turn off with the amount of scooter kids there, and their parents watching. Honestly, I'm going to learn, golf or tennis. Much better to play with other adults. Breaking a leg when you're in your 30's and have to work is annoying too. Which you will do, you're older and heavier. You can't just chill on the couch and eat ice cream. Skating is fun and doing big ollies over hips is great, but I can't imagine getting into it at 30. Start something else that you can play into old age, that's why I'm learning golf.

it's alright, i've had this problem when i was practicing ollies too. try moving your back foot so it's more on your tail and not hanging off the board too much. also make sure you're standing STRAIGHT. i'm in front of my computer a lot and my posture is kind of wack but when i skate, i make sure my posture is good. it'll feel weird at first but those helped me straighten out my shit.
