Shill me a cheap (250€ max) watch that's not fedora core that I can wear with casual clothing (jeans, sneakers, hoodies) and doesn't make me look like tryhard at school. I don't like leather bands too much. One click away from just buying this casio

Cool options.

The San Martin Nautilus looks dope, but I would pass just for the protruding endlinks problem. Even my $30 shitter does better than that, There is no excuse for this horror.

The C. Ward is super nice, but it looks impossible to dress up. May or may not be a problem for you.

Zelos watches are all over the place, but wh am I to judge. Pic related.

The Aikon feels like the safe choice. Some people belittle it as a APRO homage, but I think that it looks unique enough to keep a place in your collection regardless of what you'll get afterwards.

I'm trying to find a gold watch to wear as slowly everything else I've gotten has become brass/gold toned metal. Advice on more entry level gold watches that are

>automatic
>strap can be leather, that's fine.
>dress

It seems like lower end gold watches don't look particularly good, and higher end cost a shit ton and make me look like a drug dealer in Miami Vice.

>I remember when I was a Casio rep. Seems a thousand centuries ago. We went into a mall to hand out shitters to autistic young men. We left the camp after we had strapped a Casio on every manchild's wrist, and this old mall jeweller came running after us, and he was crying. He couldn't see. We went back there, and they had come and hacked off every left arm. There they were in a pile. A pile of arms, some skeleton-like, some morbidly fat with the shitters still strapped on the tiny manlet wrists. And I remember ... I ... I ... I cried. I wept like some grandmother. I wanted to tear my teeth out. I didn't know what I wanted to do. And I want to remember it. I never want to forget it. I never want to forget. And then I realized ... like I was shot ... like I was shot with a diamond ... a diamond bullet right through my forehead. And I thought: My God ... the genius of that. The genius. The will to do that. Perfect, genuine, complete, crystalline, pure. And then I realized they were stronger than we. Because they could stand that these were not monsters. These were men ... trained Rolex ADs. These men who fought with their hearts, who had families, who had children, who were filled with love for horology ... but they had the strength ... the strength ... to do that. If I had ten divisions of those men, then our troubles here would be over very quickly.

So it's probably gold plated brass. There might be some kind of identification mark on the inside of the back cover, there might not be. It looks like it's in pretty good shape, not all scratched up, enjoy it. I like all the texture on the different parts of the case and bracelet.

Does Timex still make their watches with that design that has metal-on-metal in the movement instead of metal-on-jewels? I was about to buy a vintage Timex for a cheap little dress watch, but then I learned that they had big issues with maintenance and accuracy due to a design decision regarding the movement, which I'm still not totally clear on.

it's probably a men's watch by the era's standards, these slim and sleek "luxury sports watches" inspired by the insanely expensive, solid gold Piaget Polos were very popular in the 1980's-early 1990's and even established companies released some more affordable homages

I have bought 8 watches in 2020, costing £12,000 in total. So honestly I'm going to try and enjoy them for a year or 2 before buying anything else.

I'm going to "try" and hold out for theses watches but you never know what you will see.

For that money, you could have just gone with a microbrand and gotten a far better watch.
