As a side note, I wish Seiko used the 60's/70's style black details on polished hands and indices more on their modern watches (or white details on dark faces), looks good and helps a lot with legibility. For example using the Paul Newman daytona, even if you know more or less the price of a new rolex you wont understand why the PN daytona goes for 250k+, using a cheap orient blue diver next to a blue vintage tudor, when telling the time giving a gmt or that meme watch with only one hand etc.

Technically Daini movements tend to be better than their Suwa counterparts in the same category. The designs have a lot less problems with wear over time, include some elements like instant date change that Suwa never did, and arguably are just more simple and refined. Makes sense, as Daini movements tended to be designed in response to and as improvements over Suwa designs (in specs, as the designs themselves were totally different, done from scratch).
Still, I agree. I just generally prefer the look and feel of Suwa watches (though my favorite to wear atm is an ugly ass 5246-5010 from Daini).

I only notice watches on the right wrist because for me it seems to be really impractical, usually yo do the stuff with the right hand, so you don't want to have weight or something attached to that wrist, and it increases the chance of the watch being hit/scratched I think. For left handers, I think it's fine wearing the watch on the right.

Watch at the bottom of the wrist its weird, but I think that way the time can be seen more easily, every day when I'm exercising I have the watch like that, you can even do planks and still being able to count the time. For doing activities is better that way, no chance for the watch to be scratched and better accesibility , but worse if you are doing desk/computer activities.

>Attaching hands, for example, is a simple enough process, but ensuring that the hands rotate with the right amount of tension, are completely parallel to the dial, as well as ensuring they will clear the glass in the right way, is an arduous process. Titanium is "harder" to machine and more expensive as raw stock, which means it should be about 50-200 bucks more expensive than its SS equivalent.

Of course, that means that it's 500 dollars more at minimum, because fuck you. I used to really like the idea of titanium, but the major pro of it being lighter doesn't actually mean anything when all the titanium watches these days are chunky as shit. I'll never understand why people want hunks of metal strapped to their arm, bracelets should be light and thin, that's the whole utility of metal, you can have something stronger at the SAME thickness. Not something far too strong that's twice as thick as it needs to be weighing down your arm.
