I think I would reach for the helson 9 times out of 10 because the bracelet is amazing and the case finishing is better than modern omega tier, no I'm not joking.

I think if you were really into vintage divers the San Martin vintage could fit into your collection. I'm quite happy with mine, the build quality overall is fantastic, the bracelet is super comfortable. Great looking handset, awesome looking dial overall great vintage size, nice finishing on the case.
The issues with it have been covered already, bracelet would be better with female endlinks. The rehaut is painted black, which some might not like. They could have put more anti reflective coating on it, but it does the job adequately. Some don't like the yellow coloured lume, but i think it really works for this watch.

My favorite collection i have seen posted here, the only thing you need to do is ditch the two gshock squares and either pay up for the black titanium model or at least get a 5000-1jf. Also I'll tell you this, the bracelet is held together with springbars and the links are completely symmetrical with a really nice taper.
The polishing is mirror like, literally better than the speedmaster I owned a few years back.

That's what i was complaining about, because the endlink is male instead of female they put this weird divot effect in in to simulate the look of an independent link, it's kind of silly. It's too bad because otherwise the bracelet is really well executed.

Depends on how close you are to the atomic signal in Ft Collins Colorado. If you live in Florida or in a concrete building the atomic time might not get great reception. The solar charging is nice and it will keep going just with the lights in your house, cell lasts at least 10 years before it needs replacement. The other complaints are that the alarm is quieter than it is on the 5600 and the module is different, you can't see the current time while you are on the countdown or stopwatch screens

I think the dial looks good, it's extremely cleanly printed and lumed, i can't really see that huge three dimensionality on the indices like they look in the promo photo but you can see that they have some height to them. The finishing on metal casios is actually very very nice, better than you would expect. That new ani-digi retro reissue in metal is absolutely beautifully finished. My biggest issue is I don't really like the color schemes of most of the metal squares. I think they would be a better value around $400 but they aren't terribly overpriced. The titanium ones are also beautiful but definitely overpriced.

They are FANTASTIC watches for the money. Especially the watches made in 904l. I’ve had a Engineer II Pioneer for 5 years and it still looks fresh. They use upgraded ETAs, which require minimum maintenance. You may not like the counterbalance of the seconds hand, which is very ornate. I’ve had mine replaced with something simple.
