Does anyone know the difference between the regular Nawab of Oudh and the Intensivo version? I like the regular version a lot and I know I need to order a sample of the Intensivo before I make a decision, but I'm curious. I can only find one vague comparison on YouTube with the guy saying that Intensivo is spicier and less floral.

>> No.15803646

Yeah, he's an old man and has his own quirks. I don't agree with many of his opinions but some are absolute gems.
>>15803568
Thanks anon, I quite like rose and Tea for Two so it might be a match. Funnily enough speaking of rose my SOTD now is Le Mat Mendittorosa (earlier Eau Sauvage Parfum). A beautiful green-herbal (Turin calls it camomile) rose. Quite sad my sample is over, I might buy a bottle some time in the future.
>>15803634
The intesivos and EdPs are the same oils but in higher concentration. I had some of OJ frags in both versions and differences were negligible (but they were present). Remember though that what Ormonde Jayne calls 'EdP' is more of an Extrait concentration for others.
>saying that Intensivo is spicier and less floral.
Probably he's making it up but you know, different concentrations can smell different.

They're really shit with consistency for such a brand. You're overthinking a bit imo, it's not like with other houses where EdT/EdP/Parfum are entirely different fragrances. Here you have precisely the same formula but in different concentrations.

Oh, ok. I see now that OJ only has one page for Nawab of Oudh and in the drop down options you can select the 50ml Intensivo. It being 42% concentration and 280 vs the 30% regular version being 120mls and 425 makes the Intensivo more attractive to me, actually. I've got a 120ml of OJ Man and it's going to take forever to go through that.

anyone have recommendations for the following?

summer tea fragrance (something like bvlgari black minus the rubber tire, midnight in paris minus the powder, gucci ph II with less pimento and violet, ideally still somewhat masculine/unisex at least though)

oud wood type fragrance (the way versace oud noir smells about 30 mins would be ideal - this smells great but eventually oud noir kind of just smells like pencils shavings. TF oud wood doesn't quite hit this for me, it's possible the sample I tried though was old or something though)

Cold weather tea scents are discussed here more often. My summer favorites are:
>Berlin Gallivant
Very snice, fresh citric tea scent.
>Dear Polly Vilhelm Parfumerie
Polite tea scent with a sea-green feel to it. Elegant and sophisticated. Ambergris giving the sea feel here reminds me of Bulgari's exclusive Opalon.
>I Am Coming Home Floraïku
Amazing white tea + ginger fragrance. It smells almost like you poured it all over yourself. Gone very quickly. Not worth the price.

When it comes to Oud Wood then the type of 'oud' they use is the Givaudan's synthetic oud base. You will see it being used very often starting at Montale Black Aoud ending at very expensive 'oud' fragrances. If you want something smelling close to Oud Wood then the other anon is right about Carved Oud but I guess you're not using just Oud Wood because of the price tag? In this case I'd typically suggest Oud Noir but you know it already. There is a reasonable clone of Oud Wood from Suratti called Tom Oudh but to be fair I'd just suggest getting a decant of the original thing within your budget. If you're a bong then this guy has legit decants at reasonable prices. I ordered some Creeds from him in past. 10ml will go a long way (perhaps make you through the entire Fall/Winter if you got other things in your rotation) and you won't feel tacky wearing a clone https://tomscreeddecants.bigcartel.com/product/tom-ford-oud-wood

9.0 is a clone of valentino uomo, which pretty much smells like old Dior homme without the chocolate note. they were still selling it last year, I bought a bottle for a weekend trip and really enjoyed it for the price.

I've been looking for something cheap to wear to the beach this summer, picked up the moringa edt from the body shop and it kinda rules. i don't know wtf moringa smells like but this frag is just white florals in the sun, somewhere between jasmine and gardenia with a lil bit of tuberose. reminds me of soleil blanc but at this price i'm ok with leaving it in my bag while I swim at the beach/pool.

>OSANG is inspired by this extraordinary annual miracle, a scent of viscous beauty, blood rising, shifting from inertia to bubbling resurrection. A miracle of love. A perfumed celebration of saints and superstitions, centred around a ravenous fenugreek absolute note lavished with singed pyrazines, sacrificial myrrh and mournful molten honey poured over everything like amber rain. Meadow blooms, sticky dark resins, pungent balms and ashen clouds of iris swirl like dramatic weather.
>The miracle slowly unfolds from sunlit flowers through a sea of honey and glorious fenugreek, stirring our hunger into clouds of swirling darkness, golden hope and cindered skies. A perfume of darkness that slowly explodes into delirious, mysterious light, a Talisman of blood, seething with shadows and burning magic. A miracle of scented love. An indelible prayer for skin.

I initially didn't want to reply to a wojackposter but you're right. The guy from Melegg eloquently put in words what I think about this in one of Wafts' videos https://youtu.be/rgfctS6bmQ0?t=2795 Fuck all of the big city vegans and vegetarians feeling entitled to dictate what small communities living in rural conditions for hundreds of years should do. My grandfather was a forester and he was sometimes taking me for deer, fox and boar hunts when I was a kid. They didn't kill these animals for fun but rather precisely to maintain the fragile ecosystem of forest after we destroyed it over last few centuries of industrialization. In past they were big predators like bears, lynxes or even wolves who were naturally controlling the population and we were coexisting in balance. Now there is nothing that would reduce number of boars or deers but maybe small amount of feral dogs. The world that PETA retards dream of is a child-like fantasy. My grandpa was showing me what disastrous effect on forest a population of such innocuous animals like deer that got out of hand can have. All shoots of young trees eaten, what means no vegetation in the spring and further deaths of birds and other small animals, and frozen to death bodies of those deer that died of hunger in the severe cold. What I remember about those hunters that the city crybabies try to slander so hard was the utter respect they had for the killed animals. They always had a prayer to the St. Hubertus over the bodies that they kneel down for.

First sniff hot takes-
Garrigue by MPetG is platinum egoist, high quality, on steroids, very nice
Rosa Sacra by Frassai is very nice, like it very much at first sniff, but could move to love if I get to wear it more
teisenddu by Frassai is so unusual to my nose, its kinda sweet orangy, but with like light leather or something behind it. Maybe a gourmand i like? well see
Arancia di sicilia by perris MC is citrus and sweet creamy, maybe amber base. Nice
Nectary by Jorum studio is dirty floral fruit thing, I am very drawn to this one
Santal noir is very ho-hum, more synth woods, im not getting the slug of rose i was wanting, very glad i didnt BB this
