I actually have no idea, it was here when I moved in along with the cat painting and an inflatable jacuzzi I tossed. I've seen similar ones from the 70's that have legs, I think this one used to have some as well. As for comfort it's great, although the leather texture isn't great on bare skin.

I don't wanna dox myself, former industrial city with plenty of warehouse real estate. 1300 a month with two roommates, one of which lives mostly with his wife and uses the space as a shared studio with me. I'm not sure the exact square footage, there's a huge common space that includes the bathroom that we use to throw parties as well.

It looks so lifeless. Even with all the things in the house it still manages to feel sparse in a bad way. It's devoid of the trappings of quotidian existence.

The couch and chairs have no pillows. The dining room table has no salt and pepper, no napkins, no anything really. The wall across from it is overly barren and I imagine the whole room looks weird with just that single light. The bed has no top sheet or blanket. There's nothing on the bedside tables to indicate that anyone sleeps there. The wall is almost bare. The next shot shows everything stuffed into one small part of the room instead of spread out nicely. The kitchen is again missing signs of life. Everything is overly arranged to the point of sterility. Despite all of the wood there's no warmth to this house.

Guys so I've had my own place for 2 years now, and cleaning is just a huge challenge for me. I never have it as clean as id like. It's not dirty per se, but there's always something that bothers me like the spaces between the floor tiles need scrubbing or the dust is settling again or the fridge needs internal cleaning. It's a room, separate kitchen, bathroom, and a small entry space joining the three. Cleaning is literally on my mind nearly 24/7 and I do something everyday, at least like an hour daily I'd say but it's never enough. I would do the dishes, clean the bathroom - tub, sink, toilet, but then the room is already dusty. Next day I clean the room but I'm behind on the floor tiles in the entry area etc. It's like a full time fucking job. Plus I demonize it and it literally hurts to do most of the time. At home I had a maid come every week and the foat was spotless since I was a baby without cleaning anything myself. I've tried multiple times to do it but it's just so fucking hard. I have a full time job and now I had 3 weeks off and I'd clean at least an hour everyday and this shit is nowhere near clean again. How often and how do you guys clean? Any tips? What do with the interior? I'm leaning towards a fairly cool white like Pantone 110700 Lucent white and having a lot of low profile upward facing cool tone lighting fixtures on the walls.

Floors are kinda beat up, I want to put in vinyl planks but the wife thinks it gives the house character.

I have no doubt it's objectively better too, but come on man, it's a rock n roll bass. No one cares how good the bass sounds. No one cares how good it plays. it's the least important instrument.

Upgrade your wiring. There's no excuse for ungrounded sockets these days. If you really can't avoid it, get a three prong to two prong grounding adapter and use it properly.

I should mention that I live in eastern europe and that's basically the norm here. And I can't upgrade anything because I'm renting.

Hmmm. I'm not familiar with the plugs and adapters over there but here in the US they have pic related that allows you to plug a grounded plug into an ungrounded outlet. You remove the screw in the center of the outlet and reattach it through the metal loop, thus grounding the plug. If you're running a computer wouldn't you want a surge protector though?

>> No.15791374

>>15791363
Yeah those adapters wouldn't do anything here, both grounded and ungrounded sockets take the standard two-pin euro plug
>wouldn't you want a surge protector though?
As far as I understand that still wouldn't protect you if it is plugged into an ungrounded socket

He's probably just moved in. Stuff like that will take a while to come together if you don't have every small thing necessary at hand already.

Personally, I think the carpet doesn't fit there, not sure if it even is genuine wool, and the flipper should go to garage or whatever "mancave". A lot of nice teak furniture, but they are all stuck right next to wall which I think is a mistake that can be easily solved, atleast for the sofa.

Also proper framed paintings, LIGHTING, and atleast one huge plant/wait for the monstera to be overgrown.

pic related to see how to arrange furniture, notice how the piano isn't stuck into the corner and the chair is almost blocking the path; it would look much worse if everything was just arranged like a logical tetris game.

If you really want the flipper, it should be positioned so that it looks like it is inviting people to play it, now it looks like it's just stored there like it was in garage. Curtains could be useful too for some "texture" if that's what you want.
