The streetwear brand for former streetwear enthusiasts, you don’t need a stupid logo to prove to other your value to other humans you insecure fucks

We get it, you are a grown up now you don’t wear childish streetwear brands anymore... but really we know that you only bought that jacket because of the little logo on the front and the value you assign to it, CONSOOMER confirmed
Are you actually just too insecure to wear a normal jacket without a value commodity signifier on the front of it? You know labels used to be on the inside of jackets lol

First of all no one gives a shit except other insecure people, so don't overthink it.

Second, location makes a big difference in social acceptability in this case. I live in a rural area where carhartt is basically the adult male uniform among blue collar workers, outdoorsy dads, and trendy youth alike. The way it's worn affects the vibe others perceive (duh). I imagine this is the case in urban areas too but just with different existing demographics that choose to wear it.

Currently wearing some double knees and a wip zip jacket as my daily work from home/chore/skating/getting-barfed-on-by-my-baby uniform and very satisfied in all categories

In nyc everyone from construction workers to art hoes wear Carhartt and no one gives a shit. Why do you find it so difficult?

Clothes don't make men, men make their clothes.

Literally no one wears carhartt as workwear in Europe. Its nothing but a brand over here, just like adidas or Nike. just less popular

Literally no one gives a fuck if you wear Carhartt. It's a generic brand emboldened into everyday life like Nike or Old Navy clothing. Retired old men to babies wear Carhartt. People buy it cause it's nice affordable clothes that can last forever, especially their jackets if you can get one made in Mexico or North America in general.

>> No.15778182

have you tried just wearing what you like instead of being embarrassingly self conscious?

there's two Carhartt's

USA Carhartt is typically associated with blue collar workwear

Carhartt WIP is a german based spin-off that was licensed from Carhartt USA to steal the american workwear aesthetic for the european market and makes clothes under the Carhartt name

Rappers used to wear it back in the day, but recently hipsters and hypebeasts gentrified it.

I'm pretty sure this video explains it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iE_bwUR_KU0

Also because kanye wore it.
