Yeah, I see that. I was raised in a blue collar family, in a rust-belt city. My dad always got me carhartt jackets for winter, because in his worker mind, that's just what you got for winter jackets. If I was going to spend dosh on a jacket though, I would get something made wit nice wool or leather, although I do like the generally "blouson" cut of work wear jackets, and that they generally have standard collars, as opposed to other "blouson" cut jackets like bombers.
