Me? I'm a hipster douchebag piece of shit-tat-toing so I'd say it's overpriced outdated cultural detritus from the 2000's. They're irrelevant gimmicky shit but have somehow found a niche market among r*dditors to keep them afloat. I'm a denimhead so... I've seen well made jeans go for $35 a pair and SHITSHITSHITSHITFUCKSHITSHITSHITSHIT jeans priced at +$200 a pair and these definitely belong in the trash! Has Biden lowered the age of consent yet?

Yes. I have a few pairs of the Easy Guy fit. I've worn the brand for years and while they have some designs that I wouldn't touch, they do make some unique ones that don't look autistic. Also, good quality so as long as you wash them before they start to fall apart, they'll last.

Bluepilled and Unbased company. Stupid gimmicky company for the type of person who owns funkopop. If you just want a no frills pair of good quality jeans either get a japanese brand like pure blue japan or orslow for slubby texture or get something like 3sixteen or apc for very basic jeans that just have a clean even texture

>> No.15754433

They have lots of "weird" textured pants but also great basics. I was wearing 2 pairs of skinny jeans from them for years and they have held up fine.

Get their more "normal" materials and fits and you'll like them.

fuck 3sixteen and all those fools at selfedge, just a bunch of yuppies that just got lucky selling denim. if u want some genuine shit look to guys that ACTUALLY are denim nerds like railcarfinegoods or japanese brands in general. then youd feel better spending some cash.

btw, the fits on the jacket are trash, unless u wanna look like a fucken fool living in san francisco commutin on the bart, or some hipster doofus who only drinks pourover coffee in ny.

desu just buy vintage because ur never gonna get good fades on them.

and no, denim jackets work, just like any other fucking utilitarian garment. just work it into your wardrobe.

Cotton requires intensive amounts of pesticides, water and bleach.
Buy only used denim from charity shoppes.
When you do buy new, try to buy a material that is sustainable like lyocel that can be made from sustainable plants like bamboo.

i don't actually like 3sixteen at all. im only recommending it because it probably is in the range that the op can afford. i forgot about railcar. i dont really pay attention to any usa brands overall.

>unless u wanna look like a fucken fool living in san francisco commutin on the bart, or some hipster doofus who only drinks pourover coffee in ny.

i think this applies to 8/10 people who are even interested in wearing raw denim in 2020

>> No.15755977

They have the most interesting unique selection of denim as far as I know. The fits are a bit strange and confusing sometimes but definitely worth copping if you want something more than just regulsr old jeans. Also there's literally nothing wrong with rawz, it's the same as buying dark blue jeans that aren't colorfast, they fade with time.

I have one of their jackets, it's a step below the usual suspects for raw denim but if you can get it on sale it mogs the shit out of something like Levis or a denim jacket from a brand that doesn't specialize in denim at all

>why is it a step below but also above normal stuff?
Being the master of one thing is easier than going nuts like N&F does with experiments
Some of them won't have selvedge, like this one. Technically it doesn't mean much
Uses the nice, neat, and slightly more durable chain stitching in some spots and uses the usual everywhere else
Doesn't put rivets in strategic places for extra durability

If you aren't a denimhead these details don't mean anything much. There are sales on tateandyoko right now if you're interested.

Entirely true. I don't understand how a brand made by a fucking leaf that markets entirely to male feminists gets away with their tag, maybe it's an irony thing?
It's also stupid that they make jeans with weeb appeal when they lose all the benefits of actual Japanese jeans, except for their overpriced MiJ stuff that has an actual fucking leaf embroidered on it.
>>15754442
Dunno what your beef with Wrangler is, but yeah, Prison Blues is called that for a reason, however they'd be in jail anyway (and for a reason) and the money goes to a victims' relief fund, it's arguably more ethical than a chinese sweatshop where their only crime is being born in the wrong country and the money just goes to whoever.

I've spent upwards of $300 on a single pair of jeans though. It's not about price, it's about return on investment. Why would you spend an equal amount of money on a product off the rack that will be of inferior fit and quality to a custom made piece of clothing?

Because you can. Money is not the issue, it’s you taking issue as to how others can spend their money. Policing one’s money an activity for the poors. Clothes aren’t investments. You think that to justify spending money that would better be used to feed yourself.
