I've always wondered about this and why men's pants, especially jeans and chinos, are usually lower in rise. Longer legs are universally seen as attractive in almost every nation and culture. I mean I get high rise pants look a big weird with the rise being so long especially when tucking in shirts, but it seems guys usually go mid rise > low rise >>> high rise.
