Yeah, the lug parts are a dick to install. I can do it just fine, use my fingernail to keep the springbar in place. Also insert one side first and let one side of the bar rest just on the tip of the lug, then press down on the other side. But not sure if hollow endlinks are easier due to flexebility. you can buy similar bracelets to that, only without the fitted links but with solid screwed end links and a milled clasp and everything, for 20 bucks on ebay and 30 on amazon. and it's the exact same thing as strapcode sells. in fact it probably comes out of the same chinese factory. the only difference is that you save $40 by not getting fitted end links.
also if you cared about "formal" occasions you would just put your watch on a LEATHER strap, because that goes with any occasion while bracelets are still a bit flashy.

I just realized the gold seiko is a mixture of parts. The dial says 7110T. The caseback says 7111, and that the movement is A grade (unregulated). When I opened it up to mess with the timing as it was +16, the movement says 6256B, a regulated movement.

Nah, that's fine. Case and dial code don't need to match, often one case can have several different dials used. In this case, the dial also changed (thinner indices) when 5626-7000 case was changed to slimmer 7110. Then case was changed to 7111 (screw down caseback) and eventually 7113, but the dial stayed the same.

The accuracy grades are different than the versions of the movement, though they use the same letters (and grade A is better than B, but all 5626 are A gradd anyway, whereas 5646 is AA, I think). 5626B is just a later version. It shouldn't even state the movement version on the caseback, just the number.

Got my old man a Vostok Europe N1 Rocket for his 50th and he wears it to no end, the only hiccup was the rotor getting a bit loose.
He can wear it and flex it because he a is a gigawrist oldtimer welder/metal worker, worksmanship being a downfall, the bezel being looser than yo momma puzzy. The 7 link bracelet is also supremely comfortable, but the whole deal weighs a kilo. Also tritium.

He could do with a winder because the NH25 POS they put in them at that time cannot be wound with the crown, motion only.
