Why does TOCKR make a direct ripoff of Sinn 140? Is this really a good way to promote your new microbrand?

the problem here is that if your budget is $300 you are limiting yourself to basically just seiko5s and those things have the shit ass old movement with no hacking or handwinding and their timekeeping out of the box leaves much to be desired. you may be able to just source a 4R36 movement and replace it but I don't know if you can do that or if you can just drop it in or need additional parts (like a different movement holder, which is sometimes needed in these cases). at this point it's still under $300 but it's a bit of a hassle.
if you don't want to go that route you can get a chinkshitter. or a boctok but those have no hacking. that's basically it. maybe there are some microbrands selling field watches in that range but it can't be many. you'd have better luck with divers.

Boldr Venture
titanium, 200wr, nh35
$299

alternatively jomashop actually has the Hammy Khaki mechanical (handwind only) at $330 right now, but its 50wr. its (((swiss made))) so looks nicer for a normie gift i suppose

Bulova Hack looks very nice, and its actually a very dressy field watch but its same price as the hammy above on jomashop, features a much less premium Miyota 82S0 workhorse non handwind movement, the steel is PVD coated so wear will show and the wr is only 30.

i would also mention Vario Trench but thats a new model and the shipping will not start until june next year. Again, no handwind.

The Hamilton Khaki is a nice watch but it looks like a cheap watch. I bet if you asked a normie how much it cost they'd say $100. It's kind of shit as a gift for that reason.

i'd like to extend my current collection. It's also for a special occasion so a bit of a speciality factor would be prefered. So could you recommend me a:

> your budget
600usd
> Watch type
sporty dress watch, not too tacticool field watch, classy diver
> desired features
hacking/handwinding automatic, open for special quartz movements. preferably 100m wr or more. bracelet optional especially if its of lower quality.
> Wrist size or desired watch size
36mm to 40mm.

currently owned watches: Tudor blue bb36, skx007, Sarb017 green alpinist.

Current candites:
Vintage Seiko 45 KS in the 7001 case shape. but i'm worried a bit about the serviceability.
VintageOmega Seamaster. A bit less worried because there should be plenty of watchmakers around europe who can work on these. Quality is hit and miss at this pricepoint tho.
Steinhart ocean one vintage as well as the military version. not too worried about hommages but i'm not sure if i need another diver.
2020 non compass alpinist but it would be too close to the sarb.
hamilton khaki field. not sure about the price/perforance here.

if i had 10x the budget i would get a 36mm Explorer.

Yeah, overengineered like hell. I can't imagine the hotspots if you wear that hunk of metal. I got annoyed by a simple butterfly clasp already. The one you posted is a good way and the leather covers the metal part so it's better to wear.
>pin and buckle
The problem with these: you bend the strap drastically every time to get it through the first keeper, that is fixed. They should make a keeper that can be opened and closed. Then pin and buckle could beat the deployants leather saving feature.

>Lorier Neptune

Pros: dimensions, lume, bracelet

Cons: movement isn't that amazing for the price but it's considerably cheaper than the Baltic that sports roughly the same movement, looks are kinda lukewarm for me

>Nodus sector

Pros: modern looks of the dial, dimensions, probably price if it's below $300-$400 as it's not listed yet

Cons: not produced yet, movement is as basic bitch as they come although reliable, donno about the bracelet

>Oris Aquis

Pros: looks great, probably the greatest in terms of wow factor, by far the greatest heritage of the 4 that comes with a price tag unfortunately

Cons: Very expensive for a SW-200, purely a diver so it's not as flexible in terms of dressing it up although you probably could, almost 5 times more expensive than your other choices, I'd probably consider a Sinn at that price range.

Tldr: Baltic Aqua seems the best out of those.

I own this 1920 pocket watch, it works perfectly fine when it's laying with the dial facing the ground but stops after a few minutes when it's positioned like in the pic, and starts working again when I barely touch it. Any idea what it could be and how much it would cost me to get it fixed?

Here's some soul.
Don't you dare to disrespect it, it served in a big battle during operation beadpocalyps now. It lost it's legs but the prosthetics are fine, despite the commy gov. not issuing more than wooden ones.

It has MORE SOUL than any of your little friends in their castrated, neutral little (((banking))) country. We both know who supplied both sides with beads. If only the boys knew back then, if only they knew....

Only due to his suffering you are free from the vietcon/g/ and can run your hippie mouth like that.
