Are you a broke eastern yuropoor, like I am?

Let me introduce you to the Oldgrail Pill

> want any kind of hyped piece
> wait 5 years
> buy it used from Grailed, after the rich /fa/goots got already bored of it, and the trends have already changed

This is how I got my Y3 Qasa Highs for $75 and my Rick Owens Tech Runners for $120
They might be old and crusty, but they're enough to impress hungarian thots

Why aren't you doing the same?
Why aren't you buying your old grails for cheapo?

It's true. Demna is a genius. Vetements was making fun of the fact that people will buy fucking anything these days and of course it's true, people paid whatever the fuck for those DHL tees and resold them for god knows how much. This has created a mentality where people think of designer clothes as investments because they're hyped and not because they're well made or even well designed. This rise of basic ass designer clothes and the global influence of instagram stars has created a class of poor kids who think that designer fashion should/can somehow be accessible to anyone. They lowball the fuck out of real designer pieces on Grailed while people who managed to get the latest hot drop for retail inflate the fuck out of the price and throw it up on Grailed to make a profit. Throws the whole market out of whack.

I don’t mind donating the occasional item, selling is kinda annoying for me. If I’m buying designer I intend to keep it for as long as possible as they were intended. I kinda regret a few sneaker buys, but years back I had a weird dress shoe phase. Rarely wear them but those will last me for my entire life so it’s all good.
Can’t stand people who just blindly buy the latest trendy thing, wear for a few months then sell
