post your skincare routines

morning
cleanse, shave, moisturizer

night
cleanse, retinol, moisturizer

I want to start using sunscreen but I’m trying to understand the point of putting sunscreen on your face in the morning if it only lasts a few hours. are you supposed to re-apply every few hours?

>> No.15637373

morning

Night

>> No.15637387

AM

i have very dry skin and it works well for me. occasional tiny pimples near my hairline but nowhere else. i look a bit flushed/red more often than i'd prefer but I'm hoping the retinol will help with that

i have big lips that tend to get dry frequently. i think you just need a better/more oily lip balm, i use pic related, it’s basically just petrolatum.

make sure you apply before sleeping as well. i also rub any dead skin off at the end of my shower (the water helps. don’t be too aggressive just rub with your index finger)

if you don't have acne problems it's not necessary. once a day is fine. if you do have acne and sweat overnight, it may be a good idea to cleanse morning and night. regardless, if you want to moisturize, it may be a good idea to wash your face first before applying moisturizer. simply washing with water can work if you aren't acne prone.

Hey, chronic dry-skin haver who lives in the desert here. I have really dry, sensitive skin that most bodywash doesn't react too well with, does anybody know of a good product for this? I have my whole facial routine down along with bodily moisturizer but i'm having trouble finding good advice regarding bodywash.

thanks in advance!

>> No.15648832

if you are using a retinol you do not need to exfoliate. simplicity is best. heres my routine:

wash in shower with warm water. vigorously rub your face in there to make sure you are starting with a "clean slate"

witch hazel toner. this is totally optional. i like it, so i use it. if you dont, dont.

a decent, non comedogenic moisturizer with spf 15. you dont need to apply every few hours. thats just autism. you're not outside enough to warrant that.

at night, warm water to wash away the dirt.
toner here is non optional.
retinol. i like differin. use what works for you. DO NOT OVERDO IT. a dab will do you. this is a chemical exfoliator. if you have sensitive skin, a physical exfoliator will irritate your skin too much, even if used infrequently. skip that bullshit.
moisturizer. i use the same one that i do in the morning because it doesn't matter.

this is it. do not overcomplicate this shit.
