obviously technology has improved and the cost of doing remote analysis and beaming the data back has also improved
simply the cost of life support for a round trip, in terms of fuel and weight eclipses the one way probe cost that can continue to collect data for decades

we currently don't have an initiative to win a space race as part of an ideology to stave off communism, and the cost of creating an off world base is still out of reach, which is the next step in space exploration

The US didn't shoot for the moon (literally, or figuratively) the very first thing in their space program, which is what Israel did and failed at.

In fact the only "firsts" the US scored in the space race were related to putting men on the moon, and reusable launch/return vehicles. The USSR beat them to orbit (unmanned, animal return, crewed, and long-term station), Moon (unmanned), Mars, Venus, and Mercury. It's no surprise that Americans have a massive hard-on for the Apollo program, a pointed ignorance of the space race besides that, and a haughty disdain for the International Space Station.

The only real way I've found is to keep search terms as vague as possible ("watch" is a good start, filter out items sold as new and anything with a brand attached to the description) and to be persistent in checking for new listings regularly, be patient and be prepared to wade through endless shit, you'll likely give up after a while since you're the internet equivalent of someone moving to California in 1860 in the hunt for gold.

I've got their Daytona homage. It's far better than it has any right to be for sixty bucks. There are imperfections which can be found by looking (my 24h hour hand is not aligned properly, and there's a dangling burr on one of the bracelet links), as in most chinkshit, but once you stop caring they disappear.

The packaging is rather good. If the rest of their lineup is of similar or better quality, it's probably the best Aliexpress has to offer at that price. But I want to get a green Loreo subclone some day, for what's essentially a disposable steel watch in the same price bracket (or slightly lower).

The usual advice applies as when buying anything on eBay, do plenty of research and check sold prices for similar watches. If you do manage to find a poorly described listing then it's pretty much a gamble, it'll probably be cheap but it's not going to have a whole lot of info or photos for checking legitimacy.
Source, I bought my poorly listed Seiko 6139 for £51 5 years ago, it was a massive gamble, could've been a total lemon but luckily it worked and had a well preserved dial (had to buy NOS crystal and retaining bezel though), it was listed as a "Seiko diver watch" with no additional info and one poor photo. But even nowadays a listing like that would attract decent attention since the brand is listed.

Ironically the best movies usually have cheapish watches.Back to the future, Commando,Predator,Interstellar, Alien,Apocalipse now,Men in black...
There is a ton of nice and not really luxury watches in most of good movies, and to be honest, that kind of heritage is nicer than the mountain jew heritage that its memed with no end and you can't really see, ok, this brand is old, really old, they have been making watches for a long time, and that's all.

Seriously, many people love water and dream about going to beaches, lakes, rivers and pools...and I not only do not really like water, I feel my body isn't made for water because even when I was a child-preteen and knew how to swim, every time I did it, ended with a weird pain on my lungs when breathing that lasted a couple of hours and also at the beach usually ended with cramps on my feet.I can hike a lot, I can ride my bike for hours up to 150-200km, and never felt like shit after doing it, water is my kryptonite, if some day I have some kind of accident and I end at the water I will just accept my death, will not even try to float.

There was a period where I wore pic related and 2 digitals on the same wrist to track dosing intervals for 3 different patients. people were impressed that I could "predict" when pts would reach steady-state.
Mind you I'm not a spastic, I wore a light woven shirt so I could see the watches by pinching the sleeve of my shirt down but it only looked like I was wearing 1 watch.
>>15625190
thats all for work though. If you take a phone out or tab out of a chart you get publicly castrated on rounds.
Only me and 2 others survived every pimping session from our group and they actually knew their shit. I just came up with ways to "know" things that happened to involve a watch.

It's actually worse on the Rotary. Breitling positions the date between 2 baton indexes and gave it a subtly stepped window rather than a framed one, so, while obtrusive, it isn't directly invading the space of any other individual dial element. It's a respectable execution.
On the Rotary it's literally eating into a number and makes the 4~5 space look like one big jumbled white smear. Legit awful. They should have just left it out.

I bought the new efr108 and enjoy it so far. It has an integrated (but removable) bracelet like the beside, so I butchered a rubber strap to make a custom band. The efr107 is chunkier but it's easier to replace the strap.
When the price drops, this line can compete with the aquaterra Casio in the poorfag guide. You lose the screw-down crown and case though. Personally, I prefer the new case thinness and all the brushed surfaces.
As with most Casio's, the second hand hits the markers.

dont rely on handwinding it. It is based on the ETA 2824 and those really, really dislike being handwound and they can even break if you do it too much
