Do you prefer Luna Rossa, LR sport, LR black, or LR carbon?

>> No.15581560

>>15581549
They're all amazing to me, a lot of people downplay the LR range but it's one of my favourite lines out there.

LR Black is by FAR my favourite. I get ridiculous amounts of compliments from all types of people with this one, I get complimented all the time by strangers so it's easy for me to work out what's popular and what isn't. It's really unique and extremely versatile too, although definitely a fall/winter/early spring (mostly nighttime) fragrance for me. You know those scenes of New York or some other bustling major city at night with the lights and stuff? That's what this fragrance makes me feel.

LR Sport is basically ultra male, slightly less fruity and more soapy. If you're going for cuddly vibes, wear this one.

LR for me personally is the most boring. If you want something that is pure barbershop vibes go for Prada Amber Pour Homme. Nonetheless very clean and elegant, albeit slightly boring for me.

LR Carbon is a fantastic fragrance, although a tad redundant with Sauvage out there of course.

Well, had one of my regular girls over today. Decided to try out my new Overture. She literally HOOOOOH’d over it. She was going to blow me, started kissing down my body, then got to my belly (I always put a spray on my belly if I’m getting blown), and she actually stopped and started huffing it. This girl is not really into frags, she’s pretty nor is, and she LOVED Overture. She wanted to see the bottle so she could get it for herself,

So there you go, coomers. Turns out girls actually do enjoy niche frags too.

That I agree, but the definition of "barbershop" is usually a green-woody top with a smokey-bitter bottom, often with oakmoss and lavender notes. Smells exactly like roasted grain coffee that my grandma was serving to me and my sister when we were visiting here as kids. It's also too sweet for me. Yet another unconvincing take on the coffee note (the bummer is that it's supposed to be similar to Carthusia's Terra Mia that I wanted to test badly but perhaps now it's pointless). I have been behind this fragrance for a long time and I confess that I was terrified of trying it fearing it would not live up to expectations; So much so that, after receiving it, it had been on the desk for two days and I had not dared to open it.

I declare myself a stalwart of Roja Dove. Her genius this time has been to create a fruity-floral-spicy wonder of such a level that it is impossible not to smell your wrist over and over again. The components are no longer that they harmonize deliciously, it is that they are not of this world. The mastery with which Roja wraps one note with another after another is overwhelming and all together seem to fit together in such a way that they do not seem like an artificial creation, he is a masterful craftsman before whom we can only surrender in admiration.

This unclassifiable rarity (Parfum Cologne?) Opens with the freshness provided by lime and grapefruit accompanied by spices, with an exceptional vetiver as well as currants and juicy apples, which dance around other fresh-green and floral notes that hint at each other, without one standing out more than the other.

During drying, leather and wood are appreciated by the hand of ambergris, which give it a sensual and animalic touch of such depth, elegance and beauty, that qualifying adjectives fall short of me.

For the office, for a date, for a hidden camera in any queue of people and to do a sociological study on the power of an aroma, to turn a gañán into a prince with three sprays, to put on before going to sleep and perceive it every time you roll over in bed and it comforts your soul ... if you want people around you to defy the laws of gravity and lean towards you to smell you at an impossible angle, look no further, this it is a winning horse.

Just got in both MB Explorer and Creed Aventus this week for my collection.

Why do people call Explorer a clone when both the opening and even the dry down are different from each other?

It's quite obvious when sprayed on each of my arms that Aventus has a much fruitier opening than Explorer, which is different than the more woodsy open of Explorer.

Is this just a cope for people to justify not buying the more expensive shit?

Both good scents, but not identical.

So I'm not that into the fragrance game, nor am I really trying to because I don't have the time or money to invest in the hobby. However, I am looking for something to give my outfits that extra push when I need to step things up a little.

Since this is the case, I've generally settled on designer fragrances as I'm really just trying to please others with a scent that I can like too.

Considering these things, I'm down to ysl La Nuit de l'Homme, and Bleu de Chanel. I know it's not your vibe, but does anyone have experience with these fragrances? Recommendations maybe?

La Nuit unfortunately has been reformulated multiple times to the point that its performance is just awful and the scent is a shadow of its former self. BDC is pretty basic, but it’s snice, classy, and versatile. It’s not gonna stand out too much, but no one will dislike it either. I think BDC is the perfect pick for someone who’s not into fragrances and just wants something to wear for whatever occasion, personally. I like the EDP version myself, but they’re not really that different.

probs the rest of the cdg lineup. I've tried them in store they've got their own woodsy minimalistic dna so if you liked 2 man try wonderwood and wonderoud and if you liked kyoto try zagorsk and the rest of that line. theres something about CdGs that i really like desu, i think the simplicity of them? anyway i talk about incense a lot but havent been here in a while. ummm heeley cardinal is another good incense. this is him! is a vanilla incense. timbuktu is a fruity incense and passage d'enfer is musky with a bit of incense. thats all i can remember for now. cant say much about the ELDOs i havent gotten the chance to put my nose on them yet.

I'm just wary of buying more samples, not being able to wear them because my family may not like the smell or wasting money on a bottle I don't get through.
I just woke up really depressed and scared, because of stuff in my childhood like abuse and bullying, the ever growing dread that I'll never find a wife (or even fully be able to admit to my family I'm confused over my sexuality because of aforementioned abuse)

Listen hear you fucking weasel. Chanel and Dior always have been the top 2 designers in the game. Recently Dior went down the shitter and there's no two ways about it. Chanel still produce the scents themselves, they are independent, unlike Dior which is owned by LVMH.

Their quality is the BEST at the moment when it comes to designers and put even other niche brands to shame. I've been worried about my Platinum Egoiste because weasels like you said that recent formulations don't perform. My PE batch is from April 2020 and performs better than 99% of designers and as an example, it puts to shame Dior Sauvage Parfume, Y EDP and all the recent powerhouses.

Further like, my AHS and Edition Blanche that I got in 2014 are nuclear bombs. Chanel's recent formulation of Egoiste is beast mode on MY skin. If it doesn't work out on your skin, it doesn't mean it's the same case for everyone.

I’m a huge fan of some Tom Ford fragrances and I generally enjoy everything I put my nose to... until about two years ago when they started doing this kind of thing. Fucking Fabulous marked something of a descent for me.

When you consider the importance of things like Tuscan Leather, Oud Wood, Neroli Portofino, Black Orchid and even M7 if we go back further, to think we now have things like Lost Cherry, Bitter Peach and Rose Prick it seems like such a drop in quality, and that’s without going in to the neutering of the original Private Blends.

It seemed to be a line that stood for opulence, elegance, classiness and a hint of exclusivity. Now it’s just about telling people you’re wearing “Fucking Fabulous”. I know Tom Ford has always been provocative but I felt the Private Blend was a different side to him, one I found more appealing. It’s getting to a point where the Signature line is more interesting than the Private Blend.

No longer are Creed Associates to tell the made up backstory being fragrances. Examples being how Bois du Portugal was the scent of the Rat Pack or alternatively Frank Sinatra, Tabarome being the scent of Winston Churchhill, those are the only two I know off hand but you get the point. Another is their Acqua Originale line is getting four new fragrances added, along with a remake of the bottles. Apparently the bottles are going to be much more colorful with color gradient. These changes themselves aren't significant to the mainline, but with the recent dumping of certain Creed scents on he grey market, along with the fact it seems that Creed is looking to get a facelift I wouldn't be surprised if in a few years Creed looks way different.

I'm really open to any suggestions. I already have burberry london and bentley absolute edp, but I'm still looking for something as a signature autumn scent

It’s Estee Lauder from 2005 not TF, stop thinking crabwise, will you. M7 was eons ago, what part Tom Ford takes in the creation of new perfumes - nobody knows that for sure, probably none whatsoever, I bet he’s participating only in some marketing exercises.

>DH2020
That is an interesting comparison. I do not find OM beautiful thus it is boring for me. As for DH2020, I would compare it to a BMW 5 series since it has the same performance: masculine, you get noticed, some people would assume you’re an asshole. Is it boring? Well, it is not Ferrary but I drive it anyway.

So based on the picture, you're going for more low-key hacker like Mr. Robot. Nothing sweet in it, and it should not be "fancy". It should have a straightforward structure to it, because you're a hacker not a faggot. Faggots in this thread ooohhh and ahhhh about naturals and transitions of their fragrance. As a hacker you want to be elusive. People can detect something, but can't really put their finger on it.

The only choice would be something like Molecule 01 or Odeur 53.

Le Chiffre is French, so it should be a French brand. Aside from his nationality, there is a quiet elegance to him. He isn't trying to be some "CEO" who wears Amouage or other middle eastern crap. Le Chiffre also has an austere personality and nothing flamboyant makes sense. He would wear Chanel's Platinum Egoiste.

However, I can imagine that other scents would suit him too as long as there is some element of freshness, bitterness, not too sweet, anchored on some woods to give off an impression of rigidity, stability and strength.

I'm not going to hate on Egoiste, but to think it would be a better match for Le Chiffre clearly exposes how you don't know how to match fragrances with style/personality of the wearer. I applaud those who like to wear whatever they want, but it is unsightly in my eyes. You could wear whatever you want, but there should be some thought put into whether or not the fragrances harmonizes with you or not. The fashion equivalent is corny cosplayers. They are living their best life, but they look like a joke.
