Since my hair grows straight out of my scalp at a 90 degree angle i've had it buzzed all my life. Would longer hair look good?

I've tried it a couple times and it just makes my hair feel greasy, itchy, and it looks like trash.
Shampooing/conditioning and using a basic bees wax to hold the shape and control frizz gives me perfectly fine hair that I can manage and doesn't look like shit.
By day 2 of not washing my hair it's starting to get a little noticeable there's a particular sheen and odor coming from my hair and it just gets worse from there, not better.
By day 4 of not washing it, the oil buildup on my head is so heavy and my hair is fine enough that it all gets weighed down and my scalp becomes extremely visible, no amount of styling or product makes it look full or even somewhat manageable until I wash my hair again.

you remind me of me but worse. here is some advice to take to get better hair, shittier-haired me. stop using shampoo. feel free to use conditioner on the ends only basically as a detangler. you need that natural oil so your hair can have body on top of your head and not fall to the sides gayly as it does. rinse well with warm/hot water and only conditioner on the ends. keep growing it. don't cut it. maybe an inch here or there to combat split ends if they are an issue. brush your hair only when wet, towel it off a bit and allow it to dry naturally once brushed into place. don't cut it into layers, it should be the same length everywhere. accomplish this by growing it longer and then simply cutting the ends yourself. simple.
