they are 2 very distinctly different things. To say homage = fake is just incorrect.

A fake watch copies every single detail wholesale, especially the logo and name. It is for the purpose of deceiving. There are even AAA fakes that attempt to clone the movement.

A homage only mimics, the logo and name is its own. Even for western brands there are homages that are extremely similar. For example stowa antea vs nomos tangete.

You guys... God I love the Nautilus but I really don’t want to be the type who wears a replica. I know this is just an homage, but please help me sort out my mind.
I already have the San Martin 62mas and I love it for its high quality and all that, plus it doesn’t feel like too much of a copy since the design is so inconspicuous, but the Nautilus design is probably too unique? Not that I expect anyone to recognise it or even notice it, but how will I feel?

a watch is nice in situations where you don't want to appear like an asshole for being on a phone (professional settings mostly). It's nice when I'm presenting in an office or sitting in a meeting.
A watch is also nice in situations where you don't want a bulky non toughened electronic device being your time piece. I exercise in a forest daily, and have a small music player and a watch built to take some shit. Don't have to worry about rain, dirt and having a bulky rectangle.

Here's a Seiko for 90 bucks. Pretty sure Eco Drive is more reputable in terms of Solar watches though, so you might want to consider those extra few for a Citzen if you're dead-set on solar.. That said, Seiko's usually do have much better lume.

Hi guys. I need a little feedback and advice.
I'm watch this Tissot Prc200 on ebay.
Its pic related. Seller says its not running needs a new battery, and also its missing a pin on the clasp. As you can see from picture it needs a cleaning but overall seems good condition.
What is the max I should pay for this?
Its at about 82 us dollars at the moment. Is it even worth paying anymore?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Also, why wouldn't the seller get the battery changed for a few bucks so that he can sell it as "working" if there are no other issues with the movement?
You can have a brand new one with a 2 year guarantee for $160, albeit with the basketball dial: https://www.jomashop.com/tissot-watch-t055-417-11-297-01.html

I like it because it's digital with timer, nice square look and silver.
I never take off my casio a168, it is also good for workouts to time breaks and doesn't look too bad at all.
I wanted a more serious watch like that and the all metal square gshock would have been perfect but I don't like the giant g-shock imprint and I'd rather get something else for 400 dollars.
The SS regulus seemed perfect but I realized it's far too fat and bulky for my slim and small wrists. I just want a nice, water resistant square silver digital watch

I watched a few review videos, and I must say I am just a little bit dissapointed. These watches look so good and I will get one to replace my A168 but I will hope they make a better watch.
The dark version, A1000D, has a bad display that is difficult to see, according to the reviews.
The lighter version A1000M, still has those weird folded links.
Not perfect, but I am still very excited.
Now, the hard choice: Which one do I buy!? Haha.

Also fun fact. The average height of the human population has been steadily increasing for decades. Just because 34mm was the average 100 years ago it does not make any sense to return to those sizings today. Wrists are simply bigger today.

>The mechanics are simple - easily count off heart and respiratory rates within a few seconds by using the precise graduated scales on the dial.
