Overall I think Atelier Cologne, Acqua di Parma and Tom Ford are good entry level. The first two do many amazing citrus scents and the other is a bit more experimental. Acqua di Parma is the cheapest of three. If you need something even more affordable let us know. Cartier, Lalique are consistently pulling of great cheapies. Yeah mate, for people who were wearing Polo before or smelled only Sauvage and its clones in mall perfumeries for sure smelling Oud Wood or Tuscan Leather is quite something. There's also no point of using the word 'niche' if they don't know what it is in the first place hence experimental.

I’m confused. Do you mean the green ones are the ones you want us to choose from?

If so, I’m not the biggest fan of many of those. However, if you have a deep enough interest I recommend “Le Parfum de Therese” simply because it’s a “hidden” Roudnitska fragrance. I think it smells great and somehow feels like a privilege to be able to smell it.

I guess Music for a While could be appealing, but to me the pineapple is way too dominant for far too long. It’s the only fragrance I struggle to wear for long because of how heady it is.

Lipstick Rose and Rose et Cuir are snice but obviously both Rose. Promise is good, but I would never pay for a sample because it’s so expensive.

I realise this is a bit of a non-answer but I hope it helps a little.

Depeds on a strength of a given fragrance. There are some that I spray 10+ times and there are some that 2-3 sprays is enough (Black Aoud, Interlude). On average I'd say that I spray 5 times, 2 sides and back of neck and 2 wrists. There's around 10 sprays in 1ml of fragrance, so yours should last ca. 150 days of continuous use.

Glad to hear that. First of all I'd recommend smelling what you can in person or sampling online. You can do much better than BdC for F/W season. These are all way better (and cheaper) choices for FW :

>Rochas Moustache (I agree with what the other anon wrote)
>Mollinard Ambre Lumiere
I had tested all three of these cheapies and loved them despite being a nichefag who has bottles costing 5x these.

The different theories of sexcore fragrances:

Jeremy Fragrance theory:
Women like 2 things, fresh clean soapy scents, and sweet scents, men just like ultra ultra sweet scents on girls.

Gender swap theory:
Fragrances are made to smell good to the gender they are marketing toward, so to maximize SEX you should wear a women's fragrance.

Daddy theory:
Wear vintage smelling barbershop fragrances so she will associate you with older, more dominant men. I'm somewhat skeptical of this one because 1. no one really wears frags where I live and 2. dads are not really that old, many dads are wearing Bleu de Chanel and Acqua di Gio.

Hookeranon theory:
Girls are actually humans and can appreciate more complex and interesting scents. Avoid loud, potentially annoying scents like 1 million that might remind her of someone she doesn't like.

Let me know if you are aware of any other theories.

One of the best grapefruit openings and then you get a huge punch of vetiver and ISO-E Super. If it sounds good to you, then it might be a deal of Bright Neroli kind. I’m not very kind on vetiver lately so it was a pass for me.

>> No.15552822

For me vetiver is a kinda eh territory. I like Tom Ford GV, disliked Guerlain for the soapy smokiness it had that felt too mature for me, otherwise vetiver tying together other scents I'm fine with.
I tried Encre Noire on card some time ago but I can't recall it smelling anything other than a dark mossy smell

Funny coincidence that the self-proclaimed Layton tripfag's activity in these threads ceased to exist the moment the 'anonymous' coomer wave of shitposters happened soon after he was exposed as a cumbrain for 6/10 white chicks. I guess it must consume a lot of time to write these coomer posts anonymously and try to destroy the thread to keep up with his trip posting on top of that. Not that I'm very surprised that this is the same person but mildly amused how the target of Layton are always cumbrain shitskins.

I posted in the other thread, but was advised that this thread would help me more. I don't know much about fragrances, but I'd like some help finding a signature scent. I usually wear a somewhat traditional style, or minimal and clean, with the occasional slightly grunge fit. I'm looking for something earthy and warm, as I think it would go well with my laid back demeanor. Something that is inviting and masculine. Budget is $100, which I will move laterally on. Other thread recommended me Dior Homme 2020. Any other opinions?

DH 2020 is pretty bad, honestly. It’s a reboot of a classic fragrance that has not been well-received. If you can find the original Dior Homme, that’s probably a decent choice, but the 2020 version just isn’t good.

For earthy and warm, maybe look at something like Spicebomb Extreme or 1 Million Prive (but not the original 1 Million, it’s a Pajeet-tier coomer scent). Maybe even give Terre D’Hermes a go. It’s a bit dryer and more vegetal, but some people like it a lot, and I’d consider it warm and earthy. Rochas Moustache EDP is another very good inexpensive warm, cozy scent, though I wouldn’t call it earthy.

Traditional as in /trad/ or /tip/? How’s the climate at your place? You got proper winter and summer or it’s mild through all year? Fragrances are quite seasonal, you may want something fresh and uplifting for warm weather and deeper and complex for cold weather. Also how old are you? All of that will help a lot to suggest you something.

Do people *really* get headaches from ambroxan and iso e super or is it just attention whoring hypochondriacism?

His reviews are almost useless, he just describes in painstaking detail every super subtle note to make himself look smart and sensitive. At least Jeremy has the decency to tell you if a fragrance smells good or not!

Also I am not going to take the opinion of a mentally ill person (a hysteric case of trump derangement syndrome) seriously.

I get the annoying scratchiness from woody-ambers when other people have over sprayed them. But this tweet seems to be a REEEEEEaction to something they saw online. Note that they are specifically saying that the sensitivity is why people prefer "rare naturals" as opposed to bog standard? naturals?

Did someone attack their favourite brand or something?

Another thing that annoys me is that they had some kind of breakdown with the attar maker Sultan Pasha but they used their coined term "ISO E supercrappy" a lot. Just a little thing but it annoys me for some reason.

The best tip is to go smell a bunch of fragrances and build a profile to understand which genres you absolutely hate. Just because you like Legend isn't sufficient information to give meaningful recommendations. The best I can do is recommend fragrances similar to Legend.
