Money is not really a problem,not rich, but what is saving 100-150eur per year supposing a 6 year interval of repairing?. My doubt is mainly the hassle of the process, which I guess it's not a big deal having to go through it every X years but it's something I also must consider. And the final and biggest fear, imagining I have an ETA watch and in 25-30 years I'm not able to find someone with the pieces or tech to repair it, that's probably what it's leading me to buy a watch from a big brand like omega since I know they will be there at that time, I know it's pretty weird thinking about future, but I like thinking everything as much as possible.

Get an Orient Kamasu like the anon earlier in this thread. It does everything the SKX does and then some, with the sapphire crystal, handwinding and hacking movement, no misaligned chapter ring, and better bezel action from my experience. I think it's one of the best affordable divers that isn't Chinese, it also looks very good. If you want something more quirky/less serious, you can always buy an Amphibia, but ditch the original bracelet and get a silicone strap though. If you want a good bracelet opt for the somewhat more expensive Neptune. Vostoks hold insane value (75$ for an Amphibia with shipping and an additional strap) for 200m+ WR, are tough as nails, they come in hundreds of dial variations and have incredible technology and horological history behind them. Only problem is the month+ shipping time due to COVID.

Here is my 2 cents on it, owned it for less than 12 hours now, first time watch owner (apart from cheap casios and such).
After reading the poorfag guide, lurking in a handful of threads, and some research I ended up with the Kamasu. It has this classic dive watch look which I think is quite elegant, sapphire crystal, and is very affordable.
Since it is my first and only watch in my collection, one of the reasons I picked it was because I could see myself wearing this everyday in more casual outfits and more dressed up ones as well.

It's the only mido watch with any personality and one that's not a dime a dozen pattern that's available from virtually every other maker ever. Been made continuously since the 70's so there's many different variants and colors available. Vintage, pre-swatch mido is also around.

It's got a classic vibe but it's not classical, like the baroncelli, if that makes sense. It's a mid 70s look that other watches available today do not have. No one you know will see it as old timey because they'll have never seen it before let alone be able to recognize the design cues.

Problem with "pure" dress watches is the emphasis is on the materials and the craftmanship that contemporary RRP $800 watches can't really pull off: in my experience they almost always feel a little cheap. - Beater for when doing jobs in the garage, yard or any other work that gets your hands dirty. Any cheap G-shock will do.
