Not just talking about metal engraving, but also on wood, ivory, jade etc. Its very unforgiving, since you only have one watch and one chance to not fuck it up. Thanks whoever posted this a couple threads back. It's very encouraging. The search box does recognize and give quotes for every movement I own, even the 9983 from the 70's. Well the 8r39 didn't show up but it basically identical to the 8r28 with a more accurately regulated balance.

One thing is fishy though. It quotes $342 for a 6s28 but only $192 for a 6s37 which is a higher end version of the same movement.

if you really want to buy a frankenwatch i would set the upper limit to $60, maybe $85 if you really like the look.

I don't think it did, since the model this re-edition portraits is the first speedmaster, from 1957. That said, there is so much overlap design that maybe a moonwatch with broad arrows went to space, if not the moon. That's way beyond my knowledge tho, maybe check the in depth article on speedies by hodinkee.
