As long as you're willing to accept that buying fakes won't give you an item which is up to the same standards as retail, there's nothing wrong with buying fakes for items which are out of print and impossible to obtain, or items that are scalped and sold for inflated prices. If I remember correctly, the shirt they're discussing only had a limited number produced, retailed for over $1000 and has been reselling on Grailed for only slightly under that.

I can understand buying a fake grail too, as a placeholder until you can get the real thing, if it ever shows up. Obviously it would be silly to buy a fake shirt that's made from polyester when the real thing is make of silk, wool, rayon etc.
