I'm half Cuban so I was teach Spanish growing up, however I hate the language mostly because I despise latinos, and I'd hate people putting me on that group if the see the spanish on my wheel. My first Seiko 5 was in spanish, so this bothered me a lot for a while. My second one I managed to get on arabic, which got on france, then finally learned that JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) are the one with the Kanji wheel. They're a bit harder to come around, but not impossible. Search for JDM seikos or SARY055 and SARY057 ones. What I did the first time was just get a Kanji date wheel and get a friend to swap it for me, until I realized that JDM seikos also have a dumb little "made in Japan" inscription, that's barely noticeable, but I'm autistic so I wanted the real thing. Ended up getting one when I went to Japan, but you can definitely get them online-

Police, military, firefighters, mechanics, any manual or outdoors work when a phone is not convenient and when both hands are dirty or engaged. Its very helpful to have the time at a moments glance. Maybe instead of being hateful you can try out a $10 casio watch and experience for yourself that it isnt as useless as you think it is. And its also an extra avenue for you to express your aesthetics.
