I think a lot of people outside of the east coast have real hatred of the p in /tip/. I think a big part of it is that they either didn't grow up with it (ubiquitous) or they have a deep hatred for those that looked the part. I have basically no idea for the hats. It’s winter here, so I’m looking for colder weather items. Would love suggestions. I’ve tried a mid grey herringbone flat cap. Felt peaky blinders larpy and looked odd on my face. I dress very trad. Ties most days. Suits or varied sprezzy menswear from bits and pieces. Trousers high waisted, fuller cut. Most of what I have is custom made.

People generally dress extremely casually, and I’m not shy about standing out. I have an upper executive job so I’m used to the attention.

I'm still surprised that you have bespoke suits and all that but you know nothing at all about hats, it does seem a bit suspicious and as if you're bluffing about the things you own but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. So, I'll go over this quickly, if you think that flat caps are a "LARP" then you might as well give up looking for hats because it only gets more formal from here. If you really want to try again, get a flat cap with seams on the side in a tweed, not a felt because that's just odd. So here's a list of hats from least formal to most formal which you can wear on nearly a daily basis (depending on what you wear).

Trilby- on most people it looks bad but some can pull it off. Most neckbeards wear this and so normies call fedoras cringe because of it. Can be worn with sports jackets and such but the flat cap is better in this regard imho.
Fedora- better looking than the trilby because of the larger brim, looks good on quite a lot of people but because of its bad reputation you may get laughed at unless you're quite handsome (which I'm assuming you're not since you said that the flat cap looks odd on you). Only wear with a suit or more formal combination.
Bowler- Very rare hats to find and you may get strange looks from people but it looks much better than the fedora and doesn't have a bad reputation but by really dumb normies it may be mistaken as a fedora. Only wear with dark suits.
Homburg- A pretty based hat which resembles a fedora but is still quite different, especially in the brim. If you have soft facial features, do not wear this. Again, dark suits only
