I've seen plenty of people own their lack of conventional attractiveness and present themselves in an appealing manner (lots of the softboy/soundcloud rap types are capitalizing on this), it just takes figuring out what meshes best with how you look, however that is. Granted, some styles do require you to be attractive to a given degree and not everyone can just fix themselves via fashion.
