I love Tudor and want to like these but they're just ugly. Why fake gilt inscribing? Why snowflake hands but not snowflake indices? Why plain boring font? Why "gold" print on aluminum bezel insert? Why giant slab sides and disproportionately thin bezel?

A lame bastardization of the gorgeous original in every way.

I'd sell it and get the best Tudor Submariner I can afford.

I'm pretty happy with mine. Had it for three years now without issue, and it's a really nicely built and finished watch. Mine is one of the older ETA movement models and not one of the ones with an in house movement though. (Personally I don't mind that, in a way I'd rather have the ETA with a niche brand like this than a rare in-house movement nobody knows how to service.) They've moved more toward chunky tool watches since I bought mine and I've never even seen one of those in person so I'm honestly not sure what they're like now.

As >>15390699 says, the tritium might be an issue. Mine is probably ~4 years old and still good but I'm definitely not looking forward to getting it redone. I've heard that realistically it's more like 10 years before replacement, they say 7 years but that's just until it falls below a certain brightness level and it's still usable for a few years after that. (And that's a general thing with tritium watches, not unique to Ball.)

I always tell everyone to go to St-Petersbourg, it's like a different country over there, it's not called the cultural center of Russia for nothing. Just don't go around being loud and entitled, Russians are exactly like niggers and will jump you in a group. If you're walking at night make sure you're not being followed, stay in the public eye. Visit St-petersbourg during the summer solstice, there's like only an hour of night time, it's magical. Make sure to visit the summer palace, skip the winter palace, you're going to spend the whole day in line just to get your ticket. Most young people speak english, though ususally very broken.

It's a total fucking mess.
Very umimpressive handset. It's supposed to be a modern sport watch but it's got no lume. The 4 o' clock date window is completely uninspired, and I'm a fan of 4 o'clock date windows. The font on the 12 is pathetic, it already seems dated and clashes with the baton indices that try to give it a refined look. It has the most industrial-looking lug shape possible but then everything else about the watch doesn't fit with that direction. This is like a shitty mix of new and old that fails to do either properly. Every element of the watch is at odds with itself. The coffin-shaped pushers suggest refinement and elegance but then the crown is practically an engorged gear and then there's the aforementioned lug issue.

Love the new seamaster, been thinking about upgrading to one.

Speedy, great watch, keep it.

The speedy moonphase is really nice, blue was the right pick, little thick tho. I would maybe trade it for a Reverso Duoface or mater control (as stated). Like the watch but would have to pick the og speedy.

I have been so close to pulling the trigger on the OP39 white, great watch.

The DJ, never been a big fan.

Bottom row, good to have some beaters, wouldn't like to walk through London with a 2tone DJ. Hows the Hamilton run, I heard the 80hr movements have issues. I thoughts about picking one up to add to my beaters.

I would sell the DJ and speedy moonphase and buy a A lange Saxonia small seconds (that's just me) You don't been a 10k watch thoses brand are expensive to service and repairs ohhh boy, the overseas look like trash btw.

Thanks for the detailed review!

As I mentioned the moonphase was my personal grail watch. It is just so beautiful to me. Wouldn't sell it for the world.

I like the white OP because it's so simple. That and the DJ give me two, "I just need a Rolex" options.

Honestly it's the Speedy and SM I'm unsure of. I really love the SM but there are just so many other great dive watches and the Speedy feels less necessary now that I have the Moonphase. I sort of just love the Speedy's box...

The Hamilton is runs fine. Zero issues though I've only had it three months. It's a solid beater.

I may sell a couple. My next grail will be a Lange of some kind.

The really small ladies watches and pendent watches cut corners everywhere to reduce size, remove some safeguards and don't even attempt to be shock resistant, let alone waterproof and don't even think about pressure.
You'll also note that they pretty much never have any subdial or complication. Many of them don't even have a seconds hand.
So yeah, they keep pretty poor time.
At the end of the day, they're not meant to be standout pieces anyway, so accuracy and precision were never really the point.
The only ladies' watches that are built for accuracy are nurse chain watches.

I own several luxury watches and regularly encounter folks wearing subs.

To me it's a boring watch and not entirely because of Rolex. That design has been copied and homaged to death.

There are so many objectively better luxury divers to choose from. When I see a guy wearing a sub I assume he's either an affluent normie who doesn't really know about watches or optimizing for resale/investment (which is super boring to me as a collector).

I get the need in business to signal, "I'm a member of the Rolex club!" I have a datejust and OP for that. Together cost less than a gray market sub and without spending years on some cuck waiting list.
