Damasko goes hard with their bang for buck, putting all thier meme tech even in lower pieces, but their dial design is straight...shit. I could probably sit on the fence between the DS30 and 556A (dont like the "I" dial) for ages, waiting for a good price on either. I love the 556A dial, but I would probably still opt for the Damasko, seeing as Sinn are turbojews (500 bucks for a domed sapphire) and the comparable 856 goes for double the DS30.

Can't really say too much about hunting, but for logging, this certification makes sense. A falling tree is about as deadly as a gun, so it makes sense that we only hand this to people who know what they're doing.
I mean, you wouldn't want every retard to buy a gun at the supermarket, that would just fuck up your country, so it's right to not let every retard fell a tree.

I need another BOCTOK, but I'm not sure where to get it from (for Austria)
https://www.poljot24.de/ Really fast shipping and good customer service, but expensive and limited selection
https://www.maier-uhren.de/vostok/ Also uncomplicated, cheaper than poljot and I also already ordered from them, but small selection
https://www.vostok-watches24.com/ Huge selection, but comes from Russia, promises no extra taxes/tolls (same prices as maier, so believable), large selection
https://meranom.com/de/ Largest selection, directly from Russia, apparently legit, cheapest, hugest selection. But I'm worried about import taxes.
Anyone can help me decide? Really tempted by a Neptune, but those are sold out again, apart from puke green and blue (already got too many blue watches)

I don't. I misread. Like 60% of the 400 variants meranom lists isn't in stock, if you look closely. vostok-watches24 has a few, that are apparently technically neptunes, but not the ones that one would want. And maier also doesn't have anything good anymore. 4 years ago, that had literally hundreds of variants, but not anymore.
Guess it boils down to vostok-watches24 (who actually write that they cover taxes, should they accidentally happen, but they have a german bank account) which I don't know much about, or meranom.

Thing is, I don't really want a milanese, but I'd like to try it out, so if it's decent, I'd be OK with it, even if it turns out I don't really like it, but if I have that nagging feeling I don't like it, because it's a shitty one, I'd rather go 10€ cheaper and get the shitty bracelet I already know.

Auto or Quartz.

Right now I'm wearing the last good smartwatch, a Timex data link USB. I can set the time by plugging it in while it's still on my wrist, it has a fully programmable dot matrix display with a custom dual time digital watch face (the only watch I've ever found with this ability), and it has a battery life of 2 fucking years versus the half a day you'll get in an Apple watch.

Taking off your watch and putting it in a dock every night is, in many respects, even worse than having to put your auto in a rotating prison. The few "smartwatches" with battery life that manages to last more than a week can only actually do so if you're not using a screen that updates every second, which makes them effectively worthless for anything other than a general overview of the current time.

If they start making smartwatches with decent features, maybe I'll buy one. The new GBX-100s look promising. But a shitty cut-down phone on my wrist? No thanks.

Watching a video of some of our heroes maintaining the fabric of society and noticed one was wearing a Casio. I'm sure the waterproof nature of the watch also makes it blood proof as blood is famously thicker than water.

I know, but I thought the question of 'what is the cheapest watch you can buy with somewhat VC tier external and movement finishing' was an interesting one, so I thought about it and that Habring was the best I could come up with.

Grand Seiko entry level quartz models used to be well under $2k several years ago. Now the cheapest models are just about $2k on the nose.

Seiko actually sells an automatic piece they call a 'military' watch

>fall out of sync with your section every day
>have anxiety attack when you scratch the case on a tree
>someone bumps it with their rifle, lose 40 seconds a day forevermore
>can't set alarm or timer
>have to bug your exhausted quartz-wearing buddies to reset your time every night

The military is the land of $20 sports watches, shit actually works
