Sorry to hijack this but does anyone know search terms or names for 'goth-adjacent' styles? I don't listen to any real goth music like dark wave or death rock but I love extreme/dark sub-genres like Black/Death, WitchHouse, Goth Rap, Skramz, and Hardcore and am infatuated with horror movies, art history, design, and philosophy (including Thelema). Probably sounds pretentious as fuck but what I'm trying to say is I wouldn't identify as goth and hate glam style but I want to dress more 'dark alternative' than just wearing black jeans, band shirts, and black vans. Anyone got haircut, shoe, or accessory recommendations or just a search term?

Stop wearing canvas sneakers for sure. Depending on what you like I'd say get into either military surplus boots or a leather shoe (winklepickers, creepers), there is also brands like demonia and new rock but those might be a bit much for what you're describing.
For general inspo I'd say just go on whatever search engine and type in band names and musical subgenres, go through the images and pick out stuff that appeals to you.
